Starting Amaranth this year. Officially. (I never knew I had a powerful staple crop growing as a weed in my back yard for the last ten years). And here I am asking myself for the last three: "What could I grow as a strong staple crop, that is easy, drought resistant, productive, healthy and fast?" I stared at the strange red plant as I considered this. It said nothing. It just stared back at me. I would eventually find its use, 10 years later. Better late than never right? This plant is going to feed the world.

We get a lot of this popped amaranth all the time: the pooed rajgira is made into laddus & chikki, & sold as Rajgira laddu or rajgira chikki, & in Punjab it is sold as seel ke laddu

@looker768 Looks like! With the added protein of Amaranth and some zippy spices. I bet it's very tasty.
