Jacob's Video: • FIELD FIND 1969 CHARGE...
Let's make this 1969 Dodge Charger General Lee run and drive for the first time in many years! It's been sitting abandoned after a fresh repaint, so let's bring it back from forgotten status to back on the road!

This was an absolute blast man! About the most fun I’ve ever had working on a car and getting to live out so many car guys childhood dreams by running from the cops in an orange ‘69 Charger! 🙌🏼 Thanks for all the help Dylan!

I can't believe this video snuck past me 3 days ago, but I found it now. You guys made my day with the PO-lice chase, Dukes Of Hazzard style. You even found the right background music. I'm 52 and that's still one of my favorite shows. Dylan and Jacob got this right. 👍 I can't wait to see what this car becomes.

Dylan this was the best video yet. I'm 49 going to be 50 in a couple of weeks and this one brought me back in time nearly 46 years ago when I watched the Dukes of Hazzard with my mom every Friday night we both would sit on the couch and watch the show together. The music and everything brought back so many memories. I got a dvd set with all of the episodes of the dukes of hazzard that I bought 22 years ago I haven't watched it in a long time.

It is always so fascinating, that a silly 80s tv show can be such a huge impact. I grow up here in Germany with the Duke-Boys and Fall Guy, they were my absolute childhood heroes and I think thats where my obsession with cars came from. Dude, that chase part at the end? Right in the feels :D Love to see more of the General.

Would of never guessed it aired in Germany, definitely where my love started. My uncles on both mom n dad's side are car enthusiasts. One has a 450hp 68 camaro, other has a 69 corvette with 20k original miles. I never saw them as a kid though, and no one else liked cars.

The front fenders are 1969 or 1970. This is due to the rectangular reflector slots. Can't quite tell as I've never seen a 1970 specifically up close but there would be a recess in the fender for the wrap around front bumper (fenders and the hood are 1970 specific). The doors are the optional 1970's outer skin because of the louvers at the front.
@olikat8
@olikat8 8 ай бұрын
'69 is reflector-only. 1970 is longer, thinner & has an actual bulb. Those are '69 fenders

I used to live in Thousand Oaks Ca and for a while John Schneider would buy these type of cars and take them to body shops and have them made in to "General Lees" drive them around town with a for sale sign on them. He does not do that anymore that I am aware of.

I remember climbing in and out of car windows when I was a little kid. My family had this old Toyota Tercel that just sat in our driveway after we got a new car. I would get into it, roll the windows down and jump into that car all the time and pretend I was Bo Duke. Also, another way to tell if it’s a 68 Charger is if there’s a hole for a mirror on the passenger side door. 69s didn’t have that

Hey Dylan, like your channel man love what you doing on there. This is really interesting. You have a general Lee charger on your channel. Here. And another channel that I follow shows short video clips of people who fought All of the wars that America has participated in. One of the people they focused on today was sorrel book. He's the fella who played Boss hog. I just found that very unusual and funny and cool at the same time. So in my recommendations of videos to watch here was yours and three or four recommendations later. Was that video about Sorel book? Just really something. Anyway, just wanted to bring that up and share it with you
