Borgward, founded by Carl Borgward, was one of the most popular German premium car brands in the 1950s, built in Bremen. So popular that in 1955 it sold the most passenger cars in Germany, after VW.
Today I drive perhaps the most beautiful Borgward ever. Not only because of the design, but also because of the name, the Borgward Isabella Coupé.

De topsnelheid van de TS was 150 km/h volgens de fabrieksopgave. 135 km/h was de opgave voor de basismotor.

Beautiful, classy car both interior and exterior. Too bad the engine was so small, but that was the US car market then. US cars = big cars and big engines. Foreign cars = small engines small cars.
