Thank you for putting that together. It was lovely with a beautifully understated level of difficulty :) I rejoice when I see and experience how beautiful this planet is (for those that have the eyes and heart to see it) and only wish more could truly appreciate what really matters in life...quality over quantity!

I've paddled this river many times, holds great significant place in my soul. You capture the feel of the place well. Covid fouled my plans for a similar packraft trip. Your vid has inspired me again. thanks

Superb! I'd love to go back to NZ one day and do some biking trip down there. You've got so many hidden places in your lovely country.

Epic coverage of an insane adventure. Impressed by your route and how you captured the experience on camera. I want to go ‘ride’ the bridge to somewhere route into Whagamomona now!

Mark Bennett cheers for the kind words. Would really like to get back to ride that section too.

@@DeaneParkerAdventureChannel I've ridden and kayaked and jet boated everything you did except the hike a bike section which I didn't know existed. I need to learn some more history and look at some more maps!

Wow, just wow! Doubly so with being in lockdown 23hrs a day and only allowed out for a 1hr ride within 5km of home. Gotta get myself back to NZ for more riding some day!

Adrian Tritschler totally bro, that sucks! With NZ going backwards that trans Tasman bubble is getting further away, Kia kaha

What epic country! Thank you for sharing a glimpse of this sacred land. Were the riders supported? It seems like they have such a small amount of gear and not much room for food or water…
@DeaneParkerAdventureChannel3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Erin, we shipped our packrafting gear from the Bridge to Nowhere Lodge so we didn’t have to carry it on the jungle section. We also shipped a food cache to the Lodge. We didn’t have to carry shelter or sleeping mats thanks to the network of DoC huts. These huts had rain water tanks, so we only had to carry enough water for the day.

Wonderful, looks like a great adventure! Did you need any permits to packraft down the river, would it be possible to packraft down form Taumarunui to Whanganui?
@DeaneParkerAdventureChannel3 жыл бұрын
The river is a national park so open to everyone. Absolutely could packraft T to W. Cheers for the message
