Most underrated receiver ever. the man lost the receiving record crown by 70 yards to jerry rice as a 22 year old 2nd year pro and had Chris Miller as his QB not steve young. Ridiculous. And yet never gets mentioned as a top 5 receiver ever.

Bruce was my favorite Ram growing up in St. Louis. I loved how good he was at the game and his dedication to Jesus. He's still my favorite Ram, for that matter. Lots of good memories of watching the Rams as a kid, even before they became the greatest show on turf. It really got exciting when they were the greatest show on turf. I can remember Bruce hoping that him, Warner, Holt, Pace and Faulk might even be able to get into the Hall Of Fame at the same time.

Fun fact; in addition to all of what you listed, Isaac Bruce also blocked a punt in the opening game of the season at Green Bay. I didn't look this up, but I bet Bruce holds the record for most receptions and receiving yardage in a season in which the player also recorded a block on special teams.
@90sSportsNostalgia6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the post and the extra information. You are correct about Isaac Bruce during the opening week. In fact, he was the special teams player of the week that week. I just wasn't able to fit it in to continue to flow of mentioning Bruce's stats and didn't have the time or space to make a note about it. Nonetheless, thanks for watching and I appreciate the comment. Happy Halloween.

Unbelievable video. Bruce in 1995, along with Matthew Stafford in 2011, are two of the biggest Pro Bowl snubs of all time. Love your content. As I stated before, this whole throwback concept is magnificent from the information, the breakdowns and the whole 90s transitions and overall "look." Would love to collaborate with you at some point in the foreseeable future. I've been posting KZbin videos for a few years, and I'm trying to get to that next level of noteriety.

@@90sSportsNostalgia no problem... dont know if you take request but could you possibly make a vid about shaq & penny or grant hill during his pistons stint
@90sSportsNostalgia6 жыл бұрын
Yes I take requests and have done them before, but I can't make promises that I will be able to do it because lately my time is not as free. However, I do want to do a basketball team of the 90s and because of your request, I will do my best to do the Detroit Pistons of the 90s before the end of the year. I am not from Detroit but I already did the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers of the 90s videos. But because of your request, I will gladly do the Pistons of the 90s which mainly consists of Grant Hill. I loved the Penny and Shaq combo but there has already been solid documentation of them which includes the ESPN 30 for 30. But thanks for the request and will try to finish in December. Enjoy the football games this weekend.

Thanks for making this video! I always mention this year by Isaac Bruce. If it wasn't for Jerry Rice, Bruce would have held the record all those years until Megatron broke it. I'm so glad you mentioned the talent or lack there of around each receiver. The Rams were terrible in the early and mid 90's. I mean look at their list of quarterbacks: Chris Miller, Chris Chandler, Mark Rypien, Tony Banks, etc. Isaac Bruce also the held the record for many years for the most catches in the first three seasons of any receivers career. Truly remarkable. If he never had a hamstring issue, who knows how many more yards he would have, albeit he had a great career anyways. He will always be my favorite receiver of all time! Go Rams!

Thank you so much for the kind words. I greatly appreciate it. This is one of my favorite videos that I made and I am so glad that you liked it. Thank you. The 2nd most yard by a wide receiver in NFL history on a horrible team. Rice had to have Young throw him the ball in their last game in 95 (280+yards) to beat Bruce's Yards.. BRUCE HOF!!!! He needs to be inducted.
@90sSportsNostalgia4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your comment. I really enjoyed reading it. The NFL is so much the right place at the right time and Rice was fortunate to be drafted by Bill Walsh, have Montana, Young and Rich Gannon (who was the best QB in the AFC from 99-02, not Manning or Brady) throw him the ball. It't not taking anything away from Rice's accomplishments but it was certainly beneficial what was around him during his career. Furthermore, it's so hard for WRs to get into the HOF nowadays but Isaac Bruce was one of the best during his time and his 1995 season needs to be respected more. Thank you so much for the comment. Happy holidays.

Isaac Bruce was an AMAZING WR that somehow gets underrated. He was great on many WOEFUL Rams’ teams of the 90s, long before the “Greatest Show on Turf” happened in ‘99. I’m so glad Herman Moore was also mentioned, as he’s one of the most underappreciated wideouts of the last 30 years

@@90sSportsNostalgia your vids are so fantastic. Not only is the information terrific and all-encompassing, but the graphics and editing take me right back to the 90s!
