I tell you, they didn’t change a whole heck of a lot of much on those GM radios. That one doesn’t look too far off of that one out of my Deville that I gave you

I grew up with those powerful, rich sounding radios! Built by Panasonic and they put out anywhere from 75 - 100 watts depending on the model.

My 93 z24 convertible had one of those awful early CD players in it it wouldn't work until the interior of the car warmed up during the winter.

Are those 4 plug radios polarized as in you can't insert them in the wrong order thus probably frying the unit? I like the newer RDS GM Lan dual din style but they can't be used without that pricey adapter although I would love one to have work without that $$$ adapter!

Dang it works perfectly fine. A funny side note is that each time I see one of those units the bass slider is missing 🤣

glad to hear it was Old Reliable/ I tried changing the capacitors in one like that/ ruined the radio desoldering the caps . Now I bought a desolder tool. I put a salvage yard one in to replace it really pulls in radio stations maybe its all the antenna cable going to the rear antenna on my 88 buick or just a good radio

I'm trying to fix a couple of similar 90's Delco radios. One CD, one tape. Any advice on where I could ask for some help?

Throw it up on Ebay, "Mint condition, $200". LOL All joking aside, it's funny how the nastiest of radios ends up working perfectly, but you pull a mint looking radio out of a car and it's a complete basket case. It really brings the truth out of the saying, "Never judge a book by it's cover.". ;-)

It’s usually the fancy equalizer ones that have so many issues. The basic ones like this one usually are great machines.
