what? you've never heard of the term "torque flex"? it tends to mainly be an issue of body on frame type vehicles, where the mill's torque going through the drivetrain is so great that it actually twists the ladder frame chassis, and can have severe warping issues, not to mention damaging the body, and ruining the allignment of the wheels. it's not as much of an issue on monocoque and unibody type chassis, since they have more torsional rigidity, due to essentially being a box that shares load evenly, but you can absolutely warp the hell out of a monocoque chassis from high torque mills like 1000 hp powerplants for drag racing in a smaller or a compact vehicles with a rear drive layout, and are much harder to fix and straighten out than a ladder frame chassis.
