I really enjoyed this. It’s pretty novel to use an old model of a stadium and talk about how it’s changed. Hope this becomes a series for you!

HOK architects of the original. Also the light standards have been upgraded to led and have half the light bulbs. No longer taking up the full vertical space they once used to. Loved the video.

Man those mid-90s Indians line-ups were unbelievable…Lofton, Manny, Albert Belle, Thome, Alomar, Matt Williams etc…Im from Northern California and a Giants fan but as a Kid I always loved watching them play on national tv games

I sat in the center field seats for a Reds vs Indians the year before they turned them into the bullpen. Sat in those left field seats that got torn out last off-season for the 1997 home run derby(Mark Mcguire hit a Homer that almost hit the bridge connecting the garage and ball park in left field) lot of spots I sat at are gone now. Also I don't remember the center field seats they had for that short time In the late 90s, I'll have to watch some old videos and see I'm I notice them. Go Tribe!

I'm 50/50 on the renovations. Heritage Park is a great addition and the Corner Bar is good too, but also hate the bullpen changes, removing the best seats in the second deck of RF, and the removal of the signature window feature down the LF line.

Correction on the temporary seating: They were removed after the 2001 season. I sat in that section for game 3 of the ALDS against Seattle

I used to work just-north of the site of Jacobs Field, at BCBS of Northern Ohio. The site, that became Jacobs Field, used to be a group of cheap parking-lots.

Glad they went with the original pre-sponsorship name for the facility.

The Indians stadium is one of my favorites for some reason. Wrigley is obviously my favorite.

The day Cleveland moved into the Jake, their fortunes changed. Went from a sad-sack of a franchise that hit several bottoms in the 80’s, to a contender most often that’s had 13 Playoff years since 1994 (three previous from 1901-1993)

I went to this stadium for a game 2 years ago. Loved the stadium and vibe but wish I could have gone to at game before the seating got reduced

How 'bout those Cleveland INDIANS?! I worked in the suites during the shortened inaugural 1994 season. I then worked in the Terrace Club from 1995-1997. In October, 1997 I left to begin a different profession. I also remember attending a bachelor party at a bar on Huron Rd. After downing a few drinks, a couple friends and I walked to what would become the homerun porch after the ballpark will have been completed. The ballpark was only only about half finished during our first visit.

The INDIANS are gone. The Guardians aren't doing too badly but we'll see how far they get in the playoffs.

You’re the ones who started the trend! Sahlen field singlehandedly changed the aesthetic of baseball for the better (though admittedly, I have a guilty pleasure for the utilitarian nature of cookie cutters)

Would the Durham Bull stadium be interesting? I haven’t seen a game there yet but we just moved to the town and it’s certainly a place of pride for them
