Screwdriver Restoration [1930s Perfect Handle Screwdriver]

Restoration of a screwdriver. This time, this old and antique hand tool is being restored. Since you need this tool again and again, it is worth restoring.
▬ What did I do ?! ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Since the wooden handles of this antique screwdriver were already very worn out, I decided to remove these old handles and make new ones. Which was also my first step. Then I removed the rust from the old screwdriver and sanded down any grossly damaged areas. At the far end, the old hand tool would often be hit with a hammer, which caused the metal to deform, which I got back into shape. Now it was time to polish the prepared antique tool to a shine. It took many hours, but I think the result is great! Now it was time for the tricky part, restoring the new wooden handles. From a piece of beech wood and a lot of time, I adapted the new handles to the screwdriver. But I didn't make it until the second attempt. Now everything had to be assembled, the wooden handles were connected with a slotted rivet, and the old tool shone with a new shine.

I found this old but also beautiful screwdriver in my grandfather's workshop. He gave it to me with the intention of restoring it, otherwise I would never have got it :) My grandpa is of course older and has many such treasures. It's always fascinating to be able to hold one in my hands. What is the story of this old object? Who was holding it in their hand? What clothes did the people of the time who owned it wear? ... I always find it exciting, not only with regard to this screwdriver!
Unfortunately, I couldn't find much about this old screwdriver on the internet. Except that it was made around 1930 and is called the "Perfect Handle Screwdriver". Do you know more about this piece of jewelry? Then feel free to write it in the comments.
I used the following tools: cordless screwdriver, angle grinder, file, sandpaper, steel wire attachment, hammer, punch, polishing disk, polish, countersink
It took me about 11 hours to restore, without the paint drying time.

Were I to find an old tool at a yard sale or flea market I could attempt a restoration to make it look shiny and new. Many of the old tools came to me through my grandfather and I want them just the way they are. The dings and scratches in the metal and the grease and dirt on the wood contain my grandfather's essence and they're beautiful just the way they are. You do very nice work.

Seeing that beauty of a wooden handle makes me sad that plastic is so cheap and easy to make. I'd bet that handle makes the screwdriver feel great in your hand and just turn like a dream.

He was my greatest influence as a carpenter, mechanic, and all around "craftsman", and he left me many of his tools upon his death. I'm crazy about your style of filing rounded metal parts. The forward movement of the file must be in combination of the downward movement of the tool handle. Not the other way around, as you do. My mom can do it better. And she is 73yo. It looks like you make it directly for the video record. Not with love with history. However, the accountant, without taste and respect for old things, quite a good job. You destroy the soul and the magic of the old instrument perfectly. (I'm aircraft engineer on military aircrafts Mig21 and "A" grade band sound engineer in old, old, old Prague city. Older then McDonald's...and youtube,etc.)
