Haven't seen a single chop flail on years, only get them at a vintage rally here (N.Ireland) Smaller farms tend to go towards round baling silage, some medium size towards forage wagons abd larger outfits self propelled harvesters (mostly Class). Contractors do vast majority of silage cutting, lack of labour available now on many farms.

Its like here in norway too, but some still use single chop because you get fantastic feed quality, its wery light equipment om wet grounds and wery stable in steep hills (if you drive right🤣) and it is cheap and reliable. I think single chop and tower silos that we have in norway is the best way for small farmers, but i am a bit old school thou😅 and the coolest ting is that they still make the Serigstad Forage harvester 👍
