Forks Keep Open Source Software Alive

Whilst it's great when a developers starts a project by them self, the thing that really keeps open source projects alive is that if that dev ever disappears or you dislike the projects direction it can always be forked.

​@@softwarelivre2389copyleft is for people who want control, but copyright already does that. Copyright doesn't mean you can't publish the code and let people propose modifications. As per the discussion, copyleft means you have complex legal terms that may not properly grant or restrict the rights you think they do, and people outside the project might not be sure either.

Brodie tries his best to be unbiased. Of course people will, most of the time, have some sort of bias, but he shows all sides of the conversation and that helps a lot.
