Hi, Reza. This video is gold. I learned a lot in 30 minutes about basic stuff I really needed. If you could create a tutorial with more details about control positioning it'd be awsome!! This is now the thing I hate the most in PowerApps. I wish I could find a way to "freeze" their position because it's annoying to adjust it as it's not possible to just to drag and drop. I'm trying relative positioning, but still doesn't bring the outcome I expected. Thanks very much!!

@@RezaDorrani I agree with Patricia about hating the positioning of form controls and would also look forward to seeing a video with more information about that. But, meanwhile, I am not able to drag and drop the data cards on my form as you do in this video, even with "Snap to Columns" turned off. They just won't move. It's also very challenging to position them using their X, Y, Width, and Height properties. It's a real struggle to have to add a new field column to an existing form. You make it look easy but that's not my experience.

It was a good revision for me. Thank you for always helping us out. Just to ask previously in your videos to make edit form to view and edit you always take variables like varformdata and varformmode. But in this no such thing done. BTW this one was more easy than previous one. What is the reason behind that. Any pros and cons of using the variables for changing the form mode like you done in your several videos?

Variable is a better option from a performance standpoint for complex forms (large columns). However in simple form scenarios, direct connection to gallery is ok.

If you unlock the data card, you can simply double click on the name of the label control from the left navigation tree view to change its name.

Hey Reza, thanks a lot for your wanderfull channel. Can I ask you for advice how to move cards in powerapp form ? In your video you do it without problems but I am not able to move cards by drag and drop. I cannot find any reason why. Thanks a lot and regards from Europe - Czech Republic.

Thanks Renata. I have done multiple videos on form control where I showcase moving cards. I'm not sure why it does not work for you as it is an out of the box feature. Wondering if it has something to do with your browser. Il recommend posting your issue with screenshots on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com/

@@RezaDorrani Hi Reza, today I succeeded with card moving. If I open Power App direcly from Microsoft official sites then it works. If I open it from Edge browser it doesn't. Strange. I thought you could be interested. Anyway thanks for your "hint" 🙂🖐️

Hi Reza, some help,: inside the default Layout form from microsoft lists, we can write some description for the item (the new column created. I usually use to explain some rules for the user). Question: Inside Power Apps, creating a custom layout, what is the option inside power apps that mirror that description? Or I have to create a box and write again the description and organize that box the way that I want?
@RezaDorrani2 жыл бұрын
Power Apps cannot read that value. You would need to manually add them.
