Hello Sir! I have subscribed to your channel. How can I checked the accuracy of line 5? A relative of mine has received her SS 1099 form. She thinks the amount on line 5 is more than what she has received for the year 2023.

I would say the quickest way to verify this would be to check her Form SSA-1099 against her monthly deposits throughout the year.

Your Social Security *may* be taxable, depending on your tax situation. To get a better idea, you can use the IRS Tax Assistant tool that helps you determine whether they are or not. This wasn't helpful for what I needed, which is how to do the backside of this form. I am in disability and don't know what I need to put on line C.

I'm not sure what you're referring to with Line C. Can you give me a little more detail on what you're looking at? There really isn't any publicly available template of the back of Form SSA-1099 for me to view, so I don't understand what you're looking at.
