Thankyou for the detailed explanation sir. Takeaways: -There are two modes of communication i.e. formal and informal. - Formal communication is done for a pre-defined objective catered to a specific target audience. -Informal communication is done spontaneously with friends and acquaintances. -Upward communication is where information is passed from a subordinate to a superior. -Donward communication is where instructions are passed from top to bottom management, mostly to complete a certain task. -Horizontal communication is done to coordinate between people of the same role to acheive a common goal.

Utilizing formal communication enables individuals to engage in their interactions and written documents with a professional demeanor. The exclusion of colloquial language in communication serves to exert influence and convey a sense of authority through words. Additionally, it aids the reader in gaining precise comprehension of the expectations, thereby mitigating the risk of miscommunication and misunderstandings.

People communicate in 2 different styles i.e. Formal and Informal. Formal communication involves a formal language that we use when we are communicating in a professional manner, for example, with colleagues or teachers, etc. This kind of communication involves proper and complete sentences, with proper transitions among them. We can't use "u" instead of "you" here. It further is structured in a way that when we are communicating with upper management then it's referred as Upward Communication, and when upper management is communicating with the employees, then its called Downward Communication and when the subordinates or colleagues of the same position are communicating then we call it as Horizontal Communication. Whereas informal communication or informal language is the one that we use with friends and family, basically in an unprofessional manner. There are slangs and vague language like "hy" or "stuff" etc.

Formal and informal are two different types of communication styles which are used according to the requirement of different situations for instance, formal communication is used for presentation talks but cannot be used for dinner events, party gatherings etc, similarly, informal communication is best suited for any verbal exchanges between friends, collegue. There are three types of communications, which are; correspondence between employees, upward communication which is initiated by subordinate to the boss and downward communication which is initiated by boss to the employee which is usually about boss providing directives and instructions to his employees.

Two communication styles has been focused on in the above video. It define the ways, which convey that what communication style is being used. If we talk about, formal communication it mentions the information flow through prescribed channels and routes. Moreover, It is for a particular situation or audience. Some of the ways which is used to identify a formal communication are that sentence is detailed and completed, No contractions and abbreviations is used, full complete words are written. It is more effective due to timely and systematic flow of information. Information. Flow: 1) Horizontal information flow. It is the sharing if information between employees, departments, with the same level in an organization. 2) Vertical flow of information. ~ upward: it is when, information flows from low level mangers to the middle level and high level mangers. Example: demand of increase in labour wages/sallery. This is more aggregated then detailed. ~ Downward: it is when information flows from the top to the bottom or from top level management to the low level. Examples: Quotas, instructions and budget. Example: Business letters, Reports and Orders. On the other hand informal communication is used while talking or writing anything to a friend, relative or colleague. It is not predefined by any channel or route, it can happen anywhere and anytime. It is the casual communication. slang words makes informal communication and also the emotional tone and many other things.

There exist two distinct communication styles: formal and informal. Formal communication is employed in professional contexts . It is employed with a clear and predetermined purpose, directed towards a specific audience, and adheres to a set of established conventions. In this form of communication, complete sentences are utilized, contractions are avoided, and transitional words play an essential role. Conversely, informal communication operates without stringent guidelines or regulations; it resembles everyday conversations with friends.
