Was it very stressful when you were a pilot? I can't imagine regularly flying such a fast and potentially dangerous machine with not much margin for error.

Hey, at age 23 - 24, we thought we were invulnerable. But we quickly learned the truth of the saying, "There are old pilots, and there are bold pilots. But there are no old, bold pilots." It was a true adventure in that phase of life.
