Had a very concerned question (it is actually related to my thesis paper): What about the social movements which direct the societies towards negative directions, like the formation of nuclear family, I mean the changes which are not portrayed to be negative, though deliberately performed, with negatively intended targets- diminishing the old good norms(like the end of extended families, with children parting away from their parents). As mentioned by Radalph Epperson in his book, the New world order, and as marked by Samuel Huntington: "The clash of civilizations" -[As you mentioned in your briefing of the sociological perspectives, in one of your videos= the work of the Latin function (hidden/unplanned changes)] "So are these changes also processed through organized institutions, in organized (though hidden) manner.?" Depends..! Changing family pattern is caused by the changes in society's structure, based on needs. In pre industrial society, the mean of production n distribution was associated with farming so at that time more children means more labor, same goes for no of family members therefore extended families existed. In today's era, nuclear family is considered ideal so that one can provide quality of education n healthcare to the children. Hope I'm able to answer ur query
