I'm so glad to hear that! I hope your first ebook goes smoothly for you! (Mine only kind of did. Lots of trial and error involved in the process).

Clearest I have seen. Thanks. Question. Where is the copyright info?
@susanlmarkloffАй бұрын
That's a good question! I tend to break my title page, copyright, dedication, and any other applicable "front matter" into their own documents so they'll show up in the TOC (other things could be maps, world sayings, and the pronunciation guide). Since this was me trying to do a quick walkthrough, I didn't go into those details.
@jenniferward68217 ай бұрын
Hi thanks for that - you in fact import as one big file and make the titles check for ebook then TOC works great.

Thanks for the run through. Question, do you create different files for the copyright and cover page? Mine seem to run into each other in the reflowable file.
@susanlmarkloff3 ай бұрын
That's a great question! Yes, I do make separate files for the copyright and cover page. I find that's the safest way to ensure they don't run into each other as you've found.

I did all you told in this video but I kindle previewer says error to Enhanced Typesetting all the time. Is it because I had footnote on my book?
@susanlmarkloff11 күн бұрын
I would guess that's the reason, since I've never done footnotes before, and I've never had an "enhanced typesetting" error appear. You might want to consider checking out this article by adobe regarding footnotes, and how to format them in InDesign. Good luck! helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/footnotes.html#:~:text=Choose%20Type%20%3E%20Document%20Footnote%20Options,Click%20OK.

In another video the presenter mentioned that epub does not recognize paragraph returns so you need to replace them with something else…do u know what I’m referring to?
@susanlmarkloff19 күн бұрын
Unfortunately, no. I've never encountered this problem with how I place the text. I know sometimes formatting issues will arise if text is pasted in, so perhaps they were referring to something born from that?

What if this is output to PDF?
@susanlmarkloff6 ай бұрын
This is strictly for exporting to epub. If you export a file like this to PDF, it'll be the wrong setup for printing. I can do another video showing the process of how I set up my print files if that would be helpful!
@I_Mackenzie6 ай бұрын
@@susanlmarkloff Yes please that would be excellent. If you can do one showing the process for a PDF. I just want to create a PDF lead magnet.
