Formentor with the wow factor

If you haven't heard of Cupra before, that's not surprising as its a relatively new standalone brand, although the badge has been worn by the sportiest Seat models for quite a while. To this day, the two car makers still have very close ties and the Cupra Ateca and the Cupra Leon are based on Seat models too.
The Cupra Formentor is based on the same raw ingredients as the fantastic Seat Ateca, or for that matter the VW Golf, with same basic chassis, some shared gearboxes and the latest touchscreen infotainment centre from the brand-new, rather excellent Seat Leon hatchback.
The Formentor engine selection isn’t as sporty as the street cred looks might suggest. The range kicks off with a 148bhp 1.5-litre four-cylinder that’s familiar from other VW products, then next up there’s a 2.0-litre unit developing 187bhp. If you’re feeling a tad eco-conscious there’s a plug-in hybrid set-up in two states of tune, mating a 1.4-litre turbo engine with an electric motor to develop either 201bhp or 242bhp. The e-Hybrid, as it’s known, is capable of a claimed 31 miles on electric power alone. Finally, the range topper or kitchen sink level as I like to call it, is a 306bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo unit driving all four wheels and familiar from the likes of the VW Golf R and the Audi S3. There are six trim lines available - V1 and V2 are the entry level cars with VZ1, VZ2 and VZ3 trims getting a little more bang for your buck. Then there’s the limited edition VZ Edition, of which only 100 have been allocated to the UK. Prices start at just over £30,000 for the V1, ranging to £46,210 for the 310bhp VZ3. In my opinion, the entry-level V1 trim comes with enough toys to please. As well as the parking aids and the infotainment gadgets you also get 18in alloys, full LED headlights, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, privacy glass, power-folding door mirrors, three-zone climate control, keyless entry and adaptive cruise control. I would throughly recommend a test drive of any of the Cupra range.

V1 does not have satellite buttons on steering wheel, nor does it have Apple Play. It’s actually called Apple CarPlay. Failed to mention there’s a 2.0L producing 190PS.

Decent video but a little misleading. I would suggest concentrating on the car you are testing. For instance, you mentioned the different specs from V1 to VZN and suggested that the V1 comes as standard with the start/stop and Cupra mode buttons (about 7 mins into the vid) - which isn't the case. I've seen many Facebook posts where people are asking if their new V1 1.5 DSG has Cupra mode etc...

Correct my V2 dsg does not have Cupra mode nor is the stop/start button on the steering wheel it's on the bottom console also you don't get front parking sensors on the V1 they come on the V2...

Wouldn't advise run flats on any car, it's a lazy suggestion and their crap
