Wrestlenomics put a video out yesterday that broke down viewership year over year and aew’s numbers are falling faster than tv is dying. Alternatively all three wwe shows are up year over year and particularly in the demo. Blaming aew’s numbers predominantly on “death of television” doesn’t track with the data.

You guys love looking at the “numbers.” But that’s just the broadcast numbers. You don’t look at any off-hour streaming numbers or KZbin numbers, where AEW does better. I watch AEW the next day thanks to KZbin TV or TNT/TBS streaming. Those numbers are much greater.

I realize the average AEW stan is braindead, but they actually do account for those. And if you were even remotely correct, WWE and every single other television show on the planet would see similarly shrinking numbers. Exactly 0 other TV shows have had a similar problem to what AEW is having with their ratings. People are turning the product off at an alarming rate. AEW went from averaging close to a million viewers per week to barely being able to get 600k viewers each week. That is 100% the fault of bad booking and low-quality matches and nothing else.

* When Samoa Joe comes back, he'll take the FTW Belt from Chris Jericho if Jericho does still have it til then. * With Booker T, why would he want to get back in the ring, he has nothing left to prove, a wonderful career he's in his late 50's, why risk his legacy. * AEW Dynamite is supposed to be the flagship show of the company and it can't even beat the developmental brand of WWE, that is NXT. * Matt Cardona is doing excellent on the indies, loads of success including the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title. He don't need to go to AEW under TK cuts down on the roster, I would love to see Cardona come back to WWE, similar scenario with how Cody Rhodes went away for 6 years and now on top of the world.
