People from that area wrestle the same way in the International wrestling circuit as well, and they are an absolute hotbed for wrestling. The way that they (not just the Caucus’, but Russians in general) appear to wrestle is almost lazy looking, but in fact they developed a style that is very strong and fast and very reactive. It’s just a completely different style, and is so different that to American wrestlers who don’t know better it almost looks rudimentary. However it only appears that way because traditionally Americans and other countries use more explosive techniques and movements, so it’s foreign to us. Their style though is super efficient, and they train with their own developed style that is amazing for efficient grappling.

He's stronger than his opponents. Because it's all muscle memory. It's hard to detect strength when you're being dominated. Strength has many layers, skills, heart, physical, mental, will, etc.. I think people really underestimate just how strong and tough Khabib is.
