I have been trading for 11 1/2 years and I have seen some stuff with brokers. I do believe the "conspiracies" because I see these things played out in the market over and over. At the end of the day, I plan to make a video about a crazy stop hunt I saw in both the GBP/USD and the EUR/USD pairs this morning. Right now I am still watching to see who they are tricking, are they encouraging buy/selling, at this point, it's a mid-range show. After 11 years my advice is 'Wait for the proper trade set-up and cut a bad trade quickly!!!!! By the way, thanks for the video

iq option is just a video-game that simulates market-like behaviour, you can't take anyone who provides binary options seriously. It's actually very difficult to find a reputable broker through internet based searches because entire networks of review sites are set up to give the impression that a broker is legit. I'm not even sure if I trust forexSignals yet. They also have a list of trusted brokers, some of whom have questions hanging over their head.... surely if there was one broker that they really trusted they would be recommending that one broker and not ten different ones?

Thank you for the vid. I think I'm cassified as a B. I recently started trading news events and I would have my platform freeze when I trade, recently I was shocked to see that my buy order was executed 58 pips (580 points) away from my requested price. This has made me believe that the broker is out to make me loose because i thought the slippage was ridiculous.

brokers are not running stops on small retail traders, but the markets do seek stop levels of large traders to pick up those orders before big price moves. You can see this in the charts. Price moves to above or below older highs ands lows were stops are sitting before quickly moving back in the opposite direction. This is the natural process of the business. As a small retail trader being aware of this can give you clue of what may happen next based on old lows and highs being broken.

I'm new to trading but isn't there a 3rd type of broker - an ECN broker? It's my understanding (perhaps erroneous) that Electronic Communication Network brokers simply connect you to a liquidity provider such as a bank or fund, or another trader and charge you a small commission for doing so? Spreads seem to be very tight too. Is there any downside to using the ECN model?

i'm A scalper and when i started to get the hang of it and make money i decided to deposit a larger amount and started to make over 500 pounds daily then went on to make 4000 pounds within two days.. Then all of a sudden I noticed the movement of the trades were slowing down which they were not supposed to be according to what was on the charts. Also placing trades with similar account balances as mine with friend, their trades were constantly going into profit while mine looked as if it frozen or just was really slow. I knew what they were doing and also when they sped certain trade up. One customer service said he would speed it up to balance it..Crooked man

I've had 2 brokers which actually just gave me an inactivity fee without warning, this was during a period of several months I didn't trade and waited until I had a better trading plan. I lost 945 euros this way.

I think it's more important if broker is regulated/unregulated. Big Risk with unregulated broker who can steal the deposits of traders, before there is even a chance to play. Unregulated broker may offer higher leverage ratio, allowing to make a small amount bigger, but they can make up rules as they go along or dissappear in a flash. Regulated broker has lower leverage (currency doesn't go as far) , but is a sign of reputation, trust. They can't just steal deposits and get away with it

I think we need protection.... so a law that says if you have clients in any business, then you cannot have a conflict of interest with the cliens intended outcome of using your service... nice and simple :) ... or perhaps when such a conflict exists... it must be very clearly stated as a bold warning called conflicts of interest declaration.... etc. This might apply to gambling firms and so fourth... Ultimatly its easy to see if there's a stichup... and I agree there rarely is.. all one had to do is check the charts of another platform.. it will show a loss would have occured mostly due to market conditions.

What if, in theory you earn massive amounts of money using leverage (your bank as low as 1000 EUR), for instance 250,000 EUR over 1 week. Will broker pay you that money or there would be problems? Are there some occasions where brokers would not pay trader its money?

I was in the A book for long time, but then my broker introduced new fees on each of my old trades that is still running, so i had to pay a fee for opening the lot, and a daily fee on it. So even if im winning a long term trade, in the end alot of it just goes for these fees.

Can all brokers see your s/l and t/p settings, pending orders etc and if so can they ‘hunt’ your stops? What type of broker is IC? Should I use an ECN broker? Finally, if the greater majority of traders in the world are placing for e.g. a buy order, does that mean that there are not enough ‘sell’ orders to match and therefore the fill time would be longer as the broker waits to match the trades? You will get better execution and less slippage from a B-Book broker yes, very similar to trading a demo account. Once you're profitable you will notice the difference.
