You talk about this so nonchalantly, but I can’t imagine how terrifying it must have been to make that shift in perspective. Those who wake up from cults are so much stronger than they are given credit for.

I used to attend a church called Shekinah when I lived in TN. They taught tithing 23%. A lot was going on with me at that time. One thing, I felt invisible at that church. Anyway, I left, found another church, and asked myself, "What does it mean to live by faith?" It turns out that this was the beginning of my deconstruction. After 30 plus years, I began to realize something was off. Then I came out as gay, and the church kicked me out, in a manner of speaking. One church actually did force me out. I have found nicer people at bars.

Gosh, as I listen to you, it is me having said all this to myself, long ago. We don't need a go-between since God is within us all. But everyone is out there searching for a god outside of themselves. This is why all man made religions need to be dismantled. If people were forced to listen to their own hearts, instead of a go-between, this world would be a better place.

53 years ago I was born into a “rebellious” SDA (cult) family because we used black pepper & ate cow, chicken & Turkey, just not pig & the women wore makeup & listened to secular music. But we went to church on Saturdays & such. My grandparents never tasted bacon or pepperoni 😱 Fast forward 53 years, I LOVE bacon & pepperoni & I’m watching your video. What a freaking ride it’s been so far & continues to be as I’m wrapping my head around the actual truth of how folks were living in antiquity (Jesus’ time) & that Jesus was actually known to be a SORCERER since he was a HEALER as they both meant the same thing. Imagine my surprise when I was raised that magic was evil & found out that the 3 “wise men” were actually MAGI aka magicians. Reading the Bible in the greek is opening my eyes & started me on this journey of seeking the ACTUAL truth. I learned from Ammon Hillman about Mark 14:51-52, when Jesus was caught in a public park with a naked boy at 4am & I had a HUGE issue with that story. Like if that happened today, f I came upon a man in his 30s in a public park at 4am with a naked boy, I would likely go to prison because I’d call on my besties (Smith & Wesson) to handle the situation. I’m still looking at it from as many different perspectives as possible do I can come to my own conclusions. Thank you for your videos.

Even to this day I have to remind myself that in bible college theology classes I was taught incorrectly when I watch science related videos now. I even remember going to one of those christian science museums to see evidence of Noah's ark and artifacts found in the flood and you couldn't convince me that wasn't all the proof I needed at the time. It's interesting hearing different people's "ahah" moments walking away from high-control groups. When I first heard "Take Me To Church" by Hozier, I knew right then and there, that I was done. On the spot. I always had doubts at the back of my mind but I brainwashed myself daily. I lived and breathed my religion growing up. But I always knew, deep deep down, I didn't believe it. I pushed away skeptical thoughts for a very long time because I feared being deceived by "the enemy". It took that song playing just ONCE.

To truly walk for God takes alot of hard work. Doing His will and NOT your own. People follow man and NOT the true God. If you were a pastor you know the word of God good. In revelarion says the whole world will be deceived even if it were possible even the very elect. That in this time there will be wolves in sheep clothing, so much deception, false teachers, false prophets you know all these things yet your allowing the devil to win in your life for allowing him to decieve you into not serving God anymore. You turned away. You knoe the truth you know theres eternal life or damnation hell. Remember at the end of the day your choice, your free will on who you will serve. I just watched that movie "nefarious " how that demon manipulated that man and how they try to win and get the person to forefiet their relationship with God. So sad. I truly pray you will seek God yourself and not man, ask Him yourself take direcrion from him, not man, do his will his way not your own. Not like alester crawley do what you want your will that is the law. So deceptive so sad. Nothing wrong with exposing thr church hey i dont go because of that reason i serve God at home. True definition of church is circus. We are the body of christ. Your worth so much more dont let the enemy win and decieve you. You coming out of this is God testimony to help others get free. Dont waste your talents.

That's why you follow Gods Word and not man. A fallen person will want your entire paycheck for his own selfish need. God never told us we had to join a church either. @@timmygibsonkc It is possible that cult-like groups do not come from a religious background. I recommend looking into tactics of 'coercive control,' because those are the same tactics and dynamics used in cults, DV/IPV/SV, gangs, terrorist groups, trafficking, LGATs, etc. I work with former cult members and survivors of narcissistic abuse, and I'm happy to have a deeper conversation about it if you want to.
