to answer your question: juyeon chose billie eilish's song bc his team the boyz had competed in two competition shows called "road to kingdom" and "kingdom: legendary war" so this song and performance captured the struggles he and his team went through during that time (over a year of competition and promoting and being actively evaluated by the public and experts and colleagues), and then there's his personal breakthrough at the end of the performance with more self-esteem and control.

As a professional dancer myself who has seen every artist of the month, I must say hyunjin’s is the best. His dancing is very impressive, but his charisma, confidence, energy, AND facial expressions prove to me that he is actually the best. No other aotm did it like him. I have seen his video of “play with fire” choreographed by himself and honestly, the choreography is better in that to me than this video (which he did not choreograph). I am impressed by his talent, and I hope he keeps it up

I don't know them. But as someone who's study dancing and a professional.. The first guy was the most skilled out of the three.. Then the one whos song is bad is next.. You can tell they have the most potential by just the way they move. The first one is not limited and looks like he can dance to different style of dancing. I salute him for that

Thanks for recognising those characteristics in hyunjins dancing and performance i think he explains it in the behind the scenes video or other interviews things but as he had to learn dance when he debuted not having as much experience as other members previously he put a lot more attention into his performance and facial expressions etc to try to balance not having the strong dancing earlier on but as of now he is an amazing dancer 5ish years later but has still retained that amazing ability to be able to embody each character so well for each performance he is in and grab the audiences attention :) It would be dope to see some more reactions to the AOTM they are all so good! also some more of the girls ones i think quite a few Itzy members have done some and txt too!

i really wish they gave Juyeon a better way to show off his dancing in his AOTM ... it's amazing, and beautiful, but in my opinion it doesn't allow him to really showcase the talent he has :(

the producer of studio choom said that juyeon had the record for the most number of takes (138). so the staff for aotm worked really hard to capture what juyeon and his team brought to the shoot, bc 138 takes is hours and hours and hours of work on set and then again in editing/producing. not sure who you're referring to when you say "they" (the choreographer mihawk or juyeon or cre.ker or the studio choom team) but everyone worked really hard on it. also juyeon said that he had a big role in the process, taking 2-3 weeks just to flush out the details of the topic alone. he said he wanted to focus on the story of his struggles during that time, by using expressions and lingering imagery instead of "definitive" moves. he made choices about the choreo itself, too.. sooo yeah, i understand that you may personally think he can do better or show himself better, but ultimately this is about what he wanted to share. i think we should respect art for the creator's intended purpose and for what it provides, not for what we personally want it to be.

It's one of my favourite AOTMs that have come out!! it's only a personal opinion, and it may have been just the song choice that sways my look on it. it's not a bad thing! juyeon is extremely talented, and his video shows it well! i apologize for poor wording! juyeon and mihawk and the studio choom team have done wonderfully in this AOTM video, and have worked very very hard on it, and it does not go unnoticed! the story he's told with his expressions and body language is amazing! I'm not saying to change anything he did? i didn't make this post to argue with anyone, or to say my view is the right one, or superior. it was only supposed to say that in terms of future videos(?) If that makes sense! everything juyeon has shown is us wonderful, and proves how hardworking and lovely he is, and i hope to see more of it in the future! again, I'm sorry if I came off hostile towards the team, or to juyeon . I never meant any harm.

The first one's Juyeon from The Boyz. It's not the style he usually follows and I think its quite brave that he used Atist of the Month to show something he's not familiar with. Though Hyunjin I think has solid skills, Juyeon has a unique style. Hard to choose between them really.

In his behind the scenes he said that he came up with the piece with their choreographer and the piece tells a story about how he felt during Road to Kingdom/Kingdom and how difficult it was for him and the other members. But on the other hand, I do kinda wish he did something more his usual style and maybe attracted the attention of more new people.

Hyunjin from STRAY KIDS is a perfect dancer performer who can do everything as an artist!! He's best performer dancer in 4th gen I only will choose him between so many good dancers in new gen kpop but when u have high standards like KAI AND TEAMIN LEVEL IN KPOP so to me only this guy HWANG HYUNJIN can reach that high level that impressed u his facial expressions is on point his moves are so strang!! Maybe there is many Dancer who is better than Hyunjin, but Hyunjin is different. His style is only his own. I'm being a kpopers maybe since 2018 or 2019. It's really long😁 but In that long years, I never find an idol that makes me feel he is different from others idol, sexy, handsome. BUT HYUNJIN GOT ME😭🤩 I find him so different from others, sexy even without he is trying, truly handsome (for all aspect, like charisma, etc), beautiful, cute. I love him🥺🤗

Thanks for the react to Ateez Wooyoung. As a dancer I pretty much watch all kinds of dancing except I'm not really into ballet. I liked parts of the first dance but Wooyoung and Ateez as a group are always giving us facial expressions so I tend to lose interest quick if people are performing and their face isn't. I like expressions because they also tell a story and Wooyoung is part of the team of the kings of expressions and performance which is Ateez. There are many talented idols who can dance but not many who know how to express because kpop companies are so into poker face. Woo had fun with his performance with clean moves and yes, he gave me bits of the most amazing artist ever MJ. Michael set the standard for me expecting artists to perform with expressions and honestly it's why I only really pay attention to Ateez even though more kpop idols are trying to do expressions now because Ateez have gotten so much attention for it.
