He said "This is NOT a civil war, not "This is now a civil war." Ben Habib is absolutely right. Refom has to become a political party, not just an organisation dominated in every respect by a few people. That means it has to have a constition, making it very clear how senior people in the party are chosen and the qualifications they need for office. It means the vetting of potential candidates being done by a committee chosen by the members and each constituency deciding who will be its candidate rather than the party leader just distributing candidates all over the country.

Ben is a great asset to the party and much appreciated by supporters. The important thing is to uphold the principles on which the party was created: patriotism, integrity, freedom of speech and the press, the promotion of British values and culture, freedom of religion without the party or factions within it becoming overtly religious. Supporters dont want it to become a Tory Party mk II. and we need to be choosy which Tory MPs are allowed to join Reform, because many are rogues who were implicated in creating the mess which Reform now has to clean up. We should not model ourselves on any existing party, one of our selling points should be that we are not like the others. Remember at all times that we are the party of common sense.

Nigel has 5 years to make the changes needed, trying to do it before the GE was a waste of time. Now he has time he'll do it but he needs to concentrate now on his elected MP's NOT the democratically rejected one who seems to object to his unelected position being sidelined. One of Nigel’s actions that makes him unique among leftist politicians is his hard fighting for democracy through Proportional representation and governing ourselves without the EU etc. I’m sure he would not let this remain until election day and it seems to me that Ben habit is just stirring up unnecessary controversy and setting the party back. Ben is right but what he is doing is unnecessary.

@@user-vv4cl8mc3d I disagree with you. You must start the way you intend to carry on. The party must be set up right now. Farage us also imo a populist statesman. He has proved by past actions that when the going gets tough he waljs away. Will that part of his personality change now he is an MP only time will tell. For sure though tge hard work will be done by the likes of people like Ruchard Tice, Ben Habibe and Ann Widcombe

@@arleneevans6342 I understand your sentiment but the fact of the matter is if they were to be structured in the manner you suggested prior to this election they would not have been able to set up as quickly as they did and establish themselves as the third party. There is no real reason why they need to be structured the same the whole way through because adaptable parties will always be the most successful. And why don’t you go review some older footage of Nigel farage fighting aggressively for decades of his life against the EU. Practically everyone around him was always against him. Then tell me who lacks resilience.

Ben Habib has done a lot for Reform banging the drum for the new party, particularly from the very early days he is someone who is the heart and soul of the party, but like all parties, there are members who have a different take on politics etc. the bigger Reform will get so this will increase. I hope Ben stays with Reform because his day will come when the inevitable By-Elections will flow, disenchantment with the Labour government will grow and Ben will win and stand proud in Parliament.

Even though I don't agree with all the party's policies, I took on the job of campaign manager for my local Reform candidate! And Ben should perhaps consider that David Bull, who was in the same situation as he was, accepted the decision with good grace.

If I vote for a party, I expect that party to act on behalf of the people who voted for them. To listen intently to what the people want, then implement their wishes. Just because we got you into parliament, don't suddenly think it's ok to just do what you want. If I pay to be a member, I expect to have a vote and a say. Anything other is not democracy. If this party has just got in for their own personal gains, then there is no point voting them in. They will be the same as the other two parties. To take money and make a party a Ltd company, is only democratic, If the shareholders ( the paying members) have a vote and say.

I don't think we are at a stage in our national history where we need a party where the members can shape policies. I understand that all the mainstream parties aren't influenced by their members, but that doesn't mean Reform having a single voice that shapes the party is a bad thing. As a voter, all I want is a party that has the right ideas, coherently structured and that can be carried out effectively.

Disappointing that Ben is talking negatively to the press about Reform, shows disloyalty. All the other political parties in Parliament their deputy leaders are elected MP's, so it's understandable why Nigel replaced Ben with Richard Tice. Before that there were 2 Deputy Leaders of Reform, the other being Dr. David Bull who from his tweet understood and accepted it with good grace.

I am a firm supporter of Ben Habib. I seriously believe without him the REFORM UK would not have reached the support level it achieved and he was one of the main reasons I decided to vote for the party long before Nigel Farage became leader. He should be recognised as a main ingredient of the party and allowed to.play a very active part in creating a Reform Uk Party Government after the constant failures of the 2 main, traditional parties, who between them have destroyed this once great nation over the last few decades.

My suspicion is that this could be a weakness of Nigel .. his need to be in control at the top. For a political party it has to be that the party is bigger than one man. Nigel has always, or almost always been at the forefront of all the parties that he has been part of. If the party is to progress then I think Ben Habib is correct. Also, Ben seems to absolutely believe in the party and is super-honest and open. He is saying it how he sees it. He really is a great guy!
