If more young people would listen and pay attention to their elders. This country would be in a lot better place today.

Tommy, like Vin, had unlimited passion and dedication to his team. That is not true of many people.

Lasorda nailed it. World Series bound. Tommy is right when he made the point there is nothing wrong with baseball. The problem is with people. They don't have as much patience as they used to. We've lost a lot by this because people can't stop and smell the roses, can't take time to think.

@@christorpher84 In your opinion what is wrong with the game?
@ThekiBoran3 жыл бұрын
@@vanmoody Juiced baseballs. Small ball is much more exciting. Homeruns are boring, watching a guy do a slow trot around the bases is like watching paint dry. I'll take a close play at the plate over a homerun any day of the week.

It seems like the changes to speed up the game are working pretty well so far...but I never really was all that concerned about it personally. I do think a computerized strike zone will be coming to the MLB soon.

Gotta love Tommy. RIP to the Hall of Famer. Sure, he was full of sh*t sometimes in interviews and such, but those that know baseball know he was one of the greats -- a master motivator, a great evaluator of talent, and one of the best strategists and in-game managers that ever lived. He got the most out of his players however he could.

they stopped playing doubleheaders? another reason to hate MLB.

The Dodgers have not had a good manager since Lasorda. Not even a halfway decent one! Not even the one they have now. He has blown it too many times! One WS win in a short season does not make up for that! He will always belong in Boston. R.I.P Tommy and thank you.

Wow he really dropped some serious knowledge when talking about Reggie Smith.

At least with roiders we know for a fact they are cheating to win. I also like what Lasorda said about drug users, 'it's not a disease, it's a weakness.'
