Have you guys noticed ..how they had to get permission from Lee ..to actually save that young man.... and 21 years old is still just a baby in society

The Americans gang was formed during apartheid and at the same time the Civil rights movement was taking place in the US. The Americans gang founders felt that the average non white male in SA is closer to the average black man in the US South. That's where the name Americans comes from

"Shout out to the big bros from Cape Town for helping the young man. All the way from Pretoria East, Mamelodi East, I want to recognize our neighbors in Eersterust, a predominantly Coloured community. The homies over there have a distinct style that reminds me of Bloods and Crips. Unfortunately, gang banging and drug slinging are common there, but I truly hope they find a better path. Those Coloured homies have incredible talent. Peace and love to all."

Pse World what I dnt understand is, When are World(people) going to go after those who are selling distributing these evils to innocent children/people destroying people. No one knows how it feels until this evil hits your family. Youth are Being destroyed, damaged. World do something for Peace

Great video guys. I am from the cape flats and we have a lot of issues, things are supposed to be better but i do not know. The gangs started because of the apartheid oppression . The gang took the name because of the way that african americans were being oppressed. The gangs back then had much more discipline and would warn people when they are going to shoot, but today they shoot at anytime and its innocent people getting hurt not them really . Things are really out of hand .

This video is so wholesome. It’s give hope that there is still humility in this world and an evidence that there is nothing that God cannot do . I share the same sentiment with you Sisi about the gang’s name, I think it connotes a stereotype somehow. Otherwise beautiful video. ❤
@SibusisoHlophe-dp5lq5 ай бұрын
You don't need to use big words like 'connotes'. Keep it simple. I can see you're still learning English. Focus on the basics for now. You're getting there. ♥

Some of the gangster group names are inspired by the movies we used to watch involving American and Russians in gangsterism...and also, some of the American rappers promote gangsterism

I would slightly say yes on your point about their gang name because most of the South African youth loves American hip-hop groups mostly those guys from O'Block and some are just being mischievous or looking for easy buck

I fully understand why that gang name bothers you both as actual Americans. If I was American I think I would be bothered too to hear that. That's how they have displayed Americans especially black Americans to be like to us South Africans in the past by your media and film industry there in the United States of America.

I think its more a case of a ppl who are on the outskirts of society lost ther true culture and are treated terribly by the government this is why we feel like we can relate to americans more than here if i fill out a form to say im african i can go to jail this happend to a teacher i can identify as wat i want if i say im african its prison this is facts dont beleave me look it up
