I cannot still understand why Ghana still retains the name of a traitor, Kotoka, for the main international airport! Kotoka is a traitor and his name should be removed from the airport! Until then, may Ghana's soul never have peace! I was born in Ghana before Ghana's independence, of Nigerian parents. Kofi Alata. I went to Ghana National College, Nkrumah's own school which he started with a seed money of £10! in 1948, a clear 9 years before Gold Coast became Ghana became in 1957

Rawlings and his cohorts just carried out selective killings of the generals in the June 4th 1979 coup, why was Gen. Ankrah and Harley spared? Why was Gen. Kotoka’s name on our international Airport was left unchanged….? They were all part of the 1966 coup that overthrew Nkrumah… The generals and the 3 heads of state who were sent to the firing squad, were just murdered, because they were not given a trial, there are no records of their trials at even Ghana Army Courts martial archives or anywhere. Even prisoners of war of other countries are supposed to be treated well and trial…. The irony of the matter is, this same ex president Flt Rawlings came back in 1981 December 31, to commit the same crime that he killed the above generals at their prime age for…herrrr…? And Ghanaians supported him then. Ghanaians really have short memories, first said by Gen. Acheampong’. Fear Ghanaians…

With all due respect though as an elder to Ankrah as one of de major key leaders or figurehead who did de coup , I was surprised he was spared . How come gen Ankrah was not torched . He lived normally and nothing happened to him . Why . Between the top guys of de 1966 coup , kotoka and Ankrah Afrifa ,Ankrah was untouched. I never understood. He was the face of de coup . But regardless I consider dem our elders and leaders who they believe had to do what they had to do by de imperial powers . Very sad though , they were definitely misguided .
