Since when did it become media and journalist's role to give a balanced picture. Media and journalist role has always been to present fact, call spade a spade, inform and educate the masses and act as bridge between the people and the government. Media role has never been to balance the polity or create a acceptable face of government. This gentleman here who is an IAS advocates a balancing act for the media! How pathetic of him and the bureaucracy that he has been a part of . If the government is hiding behind fake news and mis information, how does the media balance it? If the government policy has been of vindictive and flawed, how does a journalist balance. That can only be done by exposing the sham. Here the bureaucrat is flexing his invitation to yale and berkley because of his 'balancing nature', he forgets that he isn't a part of media and if he is then he is definitely part of the godi brigade thats busy with Charan Vandana to further their own agenda and monetory gains. No wonder Indian Bureaucracy is so rotten.
