They then said, and read this carefully, that this had all the EARMARKS of a Russian disinformation program. That doesn't mean that it actually was one. They were hoping that the American public wouldn't be able to pick up on this disingenuous declaration. Incredibly, they had the letter in circulation in 4 days. That's quite the investigation from retired officers who wouldn't even be involved in any relevant investigation. It's a lot of BS.

Aren't all 51 agents retired? They didn't have access to current agency info - they signed based on the lies and omissions they were told. The people who arraigned the letter are the liars, and they used attorneys to word the letter to create the worst impact with the smallest legal exposure for the agents.
