Former Kenya sevens Coach Benjamin Ayimba dies at Kenyatta Hospital in Nairobi

President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga have paid tribute to former Kenya Sevens rugby head coach Benjamin Ayimba who passed away Friday evening after being hospitalised for several months due to cerebral malaria. World Rugby chairman Bill Beaumont and the Kenya Rugby Union chairman Oduor Gangla have also eulogized Ayimba who led Kenya to its maiden world rugby sevens series title in 2016 and the Olympic games in Rio De Janeiro Brazil.

I remember that moment of pride in 2016 when 7s Shujaa won the main cup against Fiji. Ben made us pride in Kenyan rugby. Rest well and God give strength to the bereaved family and friends.
