Lego Horizon, Freedom Wars, and now Death Stranding all games originally published and funded by Sony coming to non-PlayStation consoles (e.g. Switch or Xbox), and they're all releasing within a span of three months. Even if Sony isn't publishing the games anymore or is selling the IPs, it's clear Sony is becoming more lax with exclusivity. Not in a million years would Sony have let Death Stranding come to Xbox if this was still the PS3 or PS4 generation, nor would they have put Lego Horizon on Switch. Either way, tho, Sony most likely gave Kojima Productions permission to use Decima Engine on Xbox and bring DS to Xbox. You really think Sony had absolutely no idea that Kojima Productions was porting the game to Xbox all this time?

Kojima Studios must have been working on the Xbox port of Death Stranding for months... So Sony more likely than not decided it needed money and would sell the IP of Death Stranding to Kojima long before the humongous Belly Flop of Concord. And when you lose a clean HALF BILLION DOLLARS on a game that you were planning on MAKING YOU MONEY. You are going to have dramatic changes of plans... If Sony was already selling their IP's, something they have never done before, I wouldn't be surprised at all when we start hearing about more and more PlayStation games coming to Xbox! Gonna be a good ass time when those announcements start rollin in more and more (and the wholeee slate eventually LoL JK)

My theory about death stranding is that PS knew DS2 would flop, so they sold it back to Kojima. However, they'll probably still get a percentage of its sales on xbox and I'm sure they got some sort of exclusivity for future kojima games.

when death stranding was on pc it wasn't the DC version, i bought it when i found it was play anywhere as well so you get the pc version and the xbox version for 19.99

I bought it because if this is successful then maybe Playstation will see that extra money kojima will make and think about putting some of their ganes on XBOX. I would love Demons Souls on XBOX. It fits the same template as DS, its a 3rd party IP. There is only so many times the Ponies will pay for remasters/remakes.

£17 is a steal. I personally think it will do well and I think this is the route Square enix need to go down to make amends with xbox fans offer ff16 and remake cheap to get them into the sequels day and date. If they go down the route of full price for 5 year old games then I dont think it will do them any favours honestly result in low sales and small chance of buying sequels

I don’t PS at all. But, when I saw the game on Xbox for $20, bought. I might not ever play it. I did the same thing when the first MLB came to Xbox.
