I'm 62, I was disabled and on SSDI since 2017. I am in remission and went back to work through Ticket to Work program. Even though I'm much better, I am tired and decided to work part time and draw early retirement. I actually got an intelligent Social Security rep on the phone from the Grand Forks, ND office. She also helped me with my Medicare questions because I still get Medicare for my disability. It upset me how people treat you when you are on SSDI as a leach on the tax system because they are ignorant of how it works. I will probably have months where I have overpayments so this video was helpful.

I have been collecting SS for 7 years since my FRA. Can I still switch to collect from spousal SS benefit?

You can't switch. But if that benefit amount is higher, you can definitely see about adding it on top of yours.

You'll get the higher of the two. But not both.

I’m 69 and retired at 65. I went back to work 3 years after retiring. My employer is deducting SS and Medicare from my pay. Am I required to pay this after full retirement age which was 65 and 3 months?

Yes, you'll have to pay FICA tax forever.

The social security has my income not reported correct or missing from 1976 through 2000. Did not have access to ss record back than. How do I dispute when I don't have them old of tax records.

Yes, get any records from the IRS, but also tell Social Security and those earnings just might be in what's called a suspense file.

I got a letter in 2022 ,stating they overpaid me from mother's survivors benefits back 1997,even though it was their fault I have to pay them back
