The success of VH1's CrazySexyCool was awesome for many, but left a few people a little upset. Crystal Jones, the original 'C' of TLC, shares her side of the story along with her former manager, Ian Burke.

They seem to be missing the point that as much as they wanted to include as many people involved in their journey as possible, they COULDN'T. They wanted to do a mini series like the Jacksons, but they couldn't get the clearance from VH1. The biopic is about the story of T-boz, Left-Eye, and Chilli and their lives while in TLC. The only people who can tell that story are the surviving members. Left-Eyes last documentary confirms everything that was portrayed about her. Only T-boz and Chilli can tell us how each of the girls felt during their struggles and success as TLC. Not Left-Eyes family, not Pebbles, not Crystal or her manager, not anyone else.

Sounds to me like they let Crystal go because someone thought she would cause some trouble because she was already asking questions from the start and wanted to have the contract checked before signing it. Whether Chilli, Left Eye, or T-Boz were aware of that, we don't know. Maybe they did think she was let go just because Pebbles didn't want her. ???? Anyway, she probably can't sing as good now, so it doesn't even matter that she sings or not now. I would like to hear how she sounded twenty years ago.

Now Crystal Jones was done dirty. Tionne & Lisa candidly admitted this in interviews. They never discredited her earlier input. For what it’s worth, Crystal’s take on what happened is likely true, and good for her for not signing a contract without knowing what was involved. Would TLC have exploded the way they did if she had stayed? None of us can say. There was a clear chemistry with Tionne, Lisa and Rozonda that resonated and created hits. We can’t say that Crystal and Rozonda were interchangeable or that it would’ve been the same. Crystal seems pretty level-headed and told her story when she was asked.

1.) If she couldn't sing, why were she offer a contract if she couldn't sing? 2.) The real reason she was booted out was she didn't rush in to sign the contract. In another interview she said she didn't fully understand the contract so she wanted to take it home and show her mom it. I really enjoyed this interview. I could clearly see everyone, and I thoroughly understand their position. But this story was about the journey of three girls told by two from their perspective, and you're not going to please everybody. The people who felt excluded, has to find a avenue to express their part of the story. Be willing to wish everyone well and do their own thing. Weather in a song, book, or a play,If that happens with the right intentions, the world will possibly get to the truth and come to know the whole story. I pray for them, that they'll find their own path to the greatness meant for them all. To the unsung professionals, this was possibly a hurtful missed opportunity for them. But because of the skill set they possess I'm certain that greater chances will come their way, because that's show business.

Hmmm my two cents is this. I believe they may have taken dramatic license in the film and Crystal did possess some talent. But at the end of the day I think it boiled down to the fact that Crystal did not have the x-factor. All because you can sing doesn't necessarily mean you'll make it as an artist. Chilli had what they were looking for. She was prettier, most likely had a better voice, blended better with T-Boz and Lisa and most importantly she had the x-factor Crystal did not. That's the business and the music business is the shadiest business of them all.

Ian "I sold this group to Pebbles, collected a check and bounced" Burke needs to pump his brakes. 1 He found 2nd Nature, NOT TLC--that's Pebbles. 2 You feel its should have been a mini-series, so did the actual two remaining members of TLC. Mini-series like J5 and the Temptations cost money. Were YOU going to front the MONEY to produce a two part/three part 2hr mini-series? Didn't think so. TLC and VH1 had to keep economical.

They tried to get this chick to sing 3 times in this clip and she would not **SUSPECT** Moving on, I see people trying to capitalize on something. That book is going to be about TLC just watch and what this dude saying could be somewhat true but at the end of the day when the group performed before Pebbles and LA, the group was deemed not right and that was it for Crystal. Point blank period, contract or no contract she was not with the group going forward and that was portrayed in the movie.
