They said how involved she was, so since you're hearing stuff from the fans, watch some of TLC interviews with and without Left Eye and you'll see how much they credit her.

Lisa was going for, sometimes, over 20 days. Not everyone is looking for spiritual rejuvenation. But, let's be real. Even in "regular society", we spend more time with our coworkers everyday than we do our own families, so I would bet Lisa spent more time during those years with TLC than her own family. I'm sure the industry made them dislike each other at times (as it has done with EVERY female group), but they still loved each other.

With all due respect to the Lopez family, and to the memory of Lisa"Left Eye" Lopez. There were a lot of things missing out of that script. If they had made the movie that Reigndrop suggested, that movie would have been longer than Titanic. Give Lisa's,and TLC's fans a little credit. Nobody that followed her career thought that she was selfish, and personally, I did not take that from that movie. I saw a young women in a trio of strong young women who was fighting to be heard; end of story. Hollywood is going to always make a project that is going to look out for their bottom line. Which means that somethings where changed, some where left completely out(Did you guys notice that after Chilli broke up with Dallas Austin, they just said that she was single, and didn't in anyway mention that that was when she hooked up with Usher. Probably because that's a whole movie unto itself.) and somethings that you might not want to be, get emphasized for dramatic effect. The same thing happened with the Temptations movie. The Ruffin family were in and uproar when it came out over how David Ruffin's death was depicted in the movie, and filed a lawsuit. They didn't even bring up the fact that the reason that Paul Williams was so sick and had to leave the group was because, like Tionne Watkins, he too suffered from Sickle Cell Anemia, they just depicted him as a fall down drunk and left it at that .Before Lisa's family signed off on those contracts; instead of expecting to be kept in the loop, they could have, and should have demanded it as part of the deal. "If I sign off on this, I want to be there through the whole process because I want to make sure that your portrayal of my love one, who is no longer here to defend any of it, is accurate,and puts those situations in the best light as possible, or no deal." What were they going to say,"No"? You can't tell TLC's story without talking about Left Eye's contributions, and some of the crazy shit she did during the span of the groups career as a trio;You can't.

I know they did a tlc behind the music but maybe the family should do a Left eye behind the music? I seen the left eye documentary and the biopic. Unfortunately the movie wasn't long enough to go into depth on many things. I know Lisa wrote a lot of the music and had a lot to do with creativity. She was an amazing person and we miss her very much.

I personally did not enjoy the movie. Seems to me Chilli had more creative control in it than anyone else. Majority of the movie was about her and her relationship with Dallas Austin. The movie wasn't about Lisa solely, but Reign continues to make remarks as if it should've been calle the Left Eye story. I think we all got the gist of who Lisa was, before the movie dropped. So we didn't need to see her cutting up clothes to know she was the back bone behind most of the fashion. Hello, she created the girl group Blaque. They had LEFT EYE written all over them. Interesting she sided with Pebbles, but that's only because she's angry at the other group members, for what she of course will not directly say. Apparently one of the main issues Lisa was having was she felt being in TLC she was not getting the appreciation and recognition she deserved. After the brilliant first cd (A Hip Hop Rap Cd) the focus turned more to Tionne's singng and vocals and you heard less and of Lisa rapping on the next cd's....she didn't even really record that much in the studio with the group because Debra Killing was brought to provide more authentic vocal harmonizing. That what the issues were. And although her sister as younger than her and not around the scene that much. Rain Drops knew what was going on. For example she mentioned the fact that Lisa did put tape over her mouth on the "Creep" video set because she did not agree with the message. Also Lisa DID not want to tour the Fan Mail because she being more businesslike had the theory that touring was not TLC's greatest agenda..she figured they would loose money and the tour would not sell. She was right. The TLC was playing in huge non nba arenas with seating up to 14,000 and they were only drawing crowds up to 3000. Only two shows sold out Atlanta and New York City so they lost a lost of money.

I know this comment is old but I researched the Fanmail tour. It started off shaky cause of poor marketing and promotion, a lot of people/fans found out late or wasn't aware that TLC was touring. During mid tour it gained traction and had great reviews, by the end it generated about 75 million. TLC would've earned more money if they took the tour overseas but since they wasn't getting along at that time it was canceled.

I personally feel no side should be taken and no person should be said they are a liar for telling what they felt was their side of the story. While watching many interviews, T-boz and Chili have never stated that the story they told was untrue. They simply stated they are telling their side of the story and how they felt about the situation. As far as the statement VH1 made, this was for legal reasons. If they express to the public that everything in the movie was true, with them themselves not knowing the entire truth but taking information from one source, they put themselves in a predicament to be sued by anyone portrayed in the movie that feels otherwise. Therefore, they did that to cover their butts from the opportunity of lawsuits against them. As far as Reigndrop Lopes, she is telling what she knows and how she feels about her sister and her family, just as everyone has the right to tell their side of the story. Overall, I feel that no one but the individuals involved know the real story which means none of us know what really happened because we weren't there to witness it ourselves and know the full truth of everything. Therefore we should respect everyones individual opinion because we don't know who is right or wrong.

In 2000 Lisa Lopes did an exclusive interview with Jamie of Sister 2 Sister,...that was in which she discussed the problems in TLC. She mentioned both Tionne and Rozanda were nothing more than "haters" and that she was against the "Fanmail" tour cause she knew it wouldn't sell. It was huge loss for them and they didn't make ANY money off it. They were playing in Mid Sized (NON NBA ARENAS) of 12,000 - 15,000 capacity but were playing to crowds of about 3000. Touring was never something that TLC made money off.

Tionne and Rozanda wanted to tour for the "FanMail" Tour but Lisa was against it and wanted the trio to juts do a live pay per view concert in which they would get millions and milions of fans to tune in that way instead. But Lisa compromised ONLY for the fans but she did not agree with the other two.

Why would TLC talk to Left Eye's family about TLC business? Honestly? Left eye made it very clear that when she was alive that she wasn't all that close with her family. TLC was her family. Another thing that uspet Lisa was that she wrote 9 songs for the Fanamil Cd and all NINE were rejected by LA Ried. But Dallas Austin wrote a lot of music and they submitted that. Also Tionne wrote material that was submitted as well as Kandi Buruss. Sometimes artists feel really upset about that because they want the fans to know they can write music and give ideas on what THEY WANT to talk about.

The movie is about TLC not TLC and their families. T-Boz mother was in the movie because she helped her fight with sickle cell, Chili's mother helped her with the abortion and the baby. So why would lisa's family be there and not saying that her sister doesnt know anything but just because she acted one way around you doesnt mean thats how she acted on set. Like you werent apart of the group so you really dont know. The story is told from their point of view and how they saw lisa. Zurii Allen Lefteye's family helped her get through many personal issues as well. She was in an abusive relationship and she had issues with TLC itself and would vent to her family. Them excluding the family basically excluded Lisa's side of the story from being told so that they could play her off as "crazy" and whiny.

I dont think that people feel Lisa was selfish or anything because most people remember her from how she was back in the day, and not based on the movie. With that being said, Tionne and Chilli shouldn't be all at fault for what they put ino the movie because it has to be hard choosing what to put into a movie that a couple of ours what is based on many years. I believe there is a misunderstanding what I got from this interview was that Lisa family should've had input in what should have been public or private and I do agree that Lisa's estate should get fair residuals as well as her estate should've had an attorney discuss with VH1 that they want to approve all things pertaining to Lisa's portrayal trgoughout. It's clear that Reindrop did not know all the details of the "signed release" and should've been informed prior to going public.

With all due respect to Reigndrop and the rest of the Lopes family...I completely empathize with the family wanting to make sure that the facts about Lisa are accurate. HOWEVER, it is not possible to know every detail of your loved one's life. We wear many different faces in many different aspects of our lives. In other words...Those girls (TLC) spent a lot of time together, so TBoz and Chili gave a depiction of the Left Eye THEY KNEW. And as a fan I was VERY proud of how Lisa was portrayed.

This was TLC's STORY-MOVIE. Point blank. TLC's perspective. Lisa DID tell her side. Watch Behind the Music on VH1. She DID admit to drinking problem. HELLOOO. Us fans love Left Eye/Lisa, but she wasn't an angel. Neither is T-Boz/Chilli. They agree to disagree. AND they DID show Lisa at the end loving and so spiritual in Honduras...telling me that the movie is not all true is BS. HOW can you make a movie about 12 years of their HISTORY in 2 hours???? Lisa's sister needs a reality check. This was a movie about TLC not Lisa and her family. Also, TLC didnt write the script a script writer did. All Tionne and Chilli did was tell the script writer stories about their career and she made it into a script. i think its terrible that the lopes family was left out of the creative process. i enjoyed the film, and i love tboz and chilli , but while watching i did notice that they seemed to downplay and even trivialize some of left eyes motives/ feelings etc. its a known fact that left eye was the creative muscle behind the group, and her reasoning for not liking "creep" wasnt just simply bc they didnt use her ideas, it was bc she didnt like the message that the song was sending and didnt think that it empowered her female listeners.

Lil Mama did discuss that scene in an interview and did mention the reasoning behind putting tape on her mouth (didn't like the message it was sending out). Even Lil Mama was aware of the role she was playing I just think they didn't emphasize enough in the movie as to why she did that.

At the end of the day it's about TLC. Not about The lopes family. I'm tired of that girl coming or trying to be relevant everytime TLC doing something. I mean the girls did everything right. It makes me so mad that celebrities want to bash other celebrities for the littlest things, they all knew each other like family, and Reigndrop is bashing them for something that could easily be excused as no big deal, I think celebrities just do that for money and attention.
