Former Ugandan refugee returns home for a fresh start

In 1972 when Sameena Merchant and her family fled Uganda to resettle in Canada when then-leader Idi Amin deported Asians living in the country. Sameena was just 7 at the time and says growing up in Canada offered her many opportunities. Today, she's a doctor, who's been practising for over 20 years. Recently, she was nominated for Canada's Alberta Family Physician of the Year award.
