the amount of people dead doesnt actually represent everyone, it only represents playable characters that died so you can only imagine how many people that werent playable judt up and croaked

My question is wouldn’t storage space skyrocket? Alot of the dead characters probably don’t have heirs, so the game will make whole new ones. Each time a purge happens, yes they are dead but they are still stored in the game’s file, and with each purge say 40% of the characters forces the game to make new characters to replace them, causing the file size to bloat fast?

@@DanksterPawsyou can disable that option in the game menu before starting, something about creating families or somethin. however titles will still sometimes have a new single heir created, but i’ve never seen a full family generated. other times the title goes to a liege or neighbor

@@badlyrosenthal5149 It’s not that, but having that setting makes it worse for sure. Even so, barons who don’t have heirs will most of the time result in a new character being created. Even if it’s only 10% of deaths that still a significant amount of new characters each time a disease purges a population, lag in exchange for file size.

@@DanksterPaws very true, but i think the bulk of population decrease comes from development loss, less levies being raised. i think that’s what kills my CPU anyways, as crusades wind up loading at lik 25% speed haha

Tbh Laith kinda already showed that tall is way more OP with the plagues now. Just build plague resistance in all your land and you'll destroy the other empires if you use the same settings.

I think the DLC is something that CK3 was missing, the diseases helping lower the number of characters, especially late-game, and the legends being a good way of remembering old characters.

I can see modders making a zombie apocalypse mod using the new plague mechanic and that if a region is devastated enough then a zombie run kingdom will pop up. Take note guys this has potential.

It's quite interesting that for a certain range of development, settlements become more vulnerable to the plague. Was it 10-15-ish? High enough that there's a lot of people but not that high to have really good amenities.

It would be really funny if they added a legend that gave you claims on the entire world but you can only get it as like, a count, you can’t go above that level, it only shows up from 1000 meaning you have to do the 876 start date, and you have to do a learning focus for all of your characters. So pretty much, when you get it, you will be a useless count, have a learning focus, and you will probably be so bored you will end up messing up one of the requirements

Nop, the game prevent this exploit : if you give a title to one of your vassal you have to wait one year before being able to revoke it.

Great video as always, but can you please do me a favor. Next time you’re in contact with paradox can you please let them know that Xbox owners demand that we get an update to the most up to date version of the game. I will no longer watch and support ck3 content creators videos until my game has the same updates and content that’s available to PC players have. I don’t claim KZbinrs have anything to do with anything. But many KZbinrs are sponsored by paradox and do have the ears of the devs to help give feedback. The fact that I won’t watch anymore ck3 videos is not a punishment for the KZbinr, it’s just a personal choice for because I feel ripped off and left behind by paradox. I and many other Xbox players were used as a cash grab for them.
