Couple of key points. - the top teams are evolutions of last year. The cars sound very similar. McLaren by far looks the most simple in aerodynamic design. Honda look to have made progress and big gains. Alonso and Brendon had a drag race and Honda stayed ahead. Finally point. This guys footage is the best on KZbin. Quality!

Late brakes is Riccardo, the rest just tries to brake as late as possible, plus it was just a lock-up, pretty normal, if u think that the track temp was just 2°C, plus the those were med tires on a glassy, humid, new track surface, nothing major guys for a test

George Kotseroglou I believe they all have a red line of around 16,000 rpm drivers just change gear at around 10,000 to 12,000 rpm for better fuel economy and the engines don't usually generate any more power as they go past about 12,000 rpm

The RPM limit the regs is 15,000, but it is a redundant limit because of the way the fuel flow rules are. Once the max fuel flow limit (kg/h) is reached there is no benefit of seeking higher revs. The revs have certainly gradually gone up a bit from 2014 but iirc from onboard telemetry it is not much above 12,000.

Mah bella domanda, direi che quello che hai detto può essere abbastanza giusto ma sto ancora cercando di capire se quel rumore accentuato delle wastegates che si aprono sia una cosa positiva o negativa per questi motori. Prima volta comunque che sento una Power Unit Ferrari dove le wastegates sono obbligate ad aprirsi e specialmente il lunedì, erano quasi costantemente aperte, come puoi sentire a 2:36. Vedremo a inizio stagione o addirittura settimana prossima durante la seconda parte di test (se il tempo permette). Sta di fatto che ho visto molto bene Mercedes (come al solito) e Red Bull ci dava dentro mica male
