Sorry guyz, my bad, the SSL-5 is actually my Bridge pickup! The guitar has the same pickup configuration as the Fender Custom Shop DG Signature: Fat 50 neck pickup, CS 69 middle and Seymour Duncan SSL-5 bridge! 🎸🎶

I just purchased a loaded guard with ssl1s and an ssl5. Very excited to play and hear it.

@@Open_Eyes_Open_Heart got that too! Well, ssl-2 and ssl-6 since my fretboard radius is 9,5 and In liked it better with flat pole pieces. Killer combination. Sounds much like the cs69 and fat50s (tried that as well) but with a tiny little bit more output. I like em!

Yeah definitely good looking! What I hate of many clones is they put the volume on the side, like the Colorsound...but it bugs me that I can't see the setting 😂😂😂

Really like the pedal Tony!! Playing is great too👍🏼👍🏼 Would love to find one of those in the US.

Thanks Michael! There are demos of Formula B pedals from the US so there's definitely something... Maybe with pandemic exports slowed down...

Grande Tony!!! Quel pedale mi pare di conoscerlo! 😅Stupenda recensione comunque. Ma quindi quale preferisci? Questo o Buffalo FX?
@gilmouring3 жыл бұрын
Ahahah grande Roby!

Grazie !

Ciao Tony e grazie per i tuoi video, ho appena ordinato questo pedale, secondo te dove dovrei posizionarlo avendo una pediera incatenata in questo modo: Pedale volume Cs2 Tube driver Ts9 Caprid Mxr univibe Electric mistress deluxe Boss dd 200 Equalizzatore Grazie mille🙏
@gilmouring5 ай бұрын
Ciao Alessio, grazie mille! Io lo piazzerei dopo il caprid...che dovrebbe darti quell'attacco in più e aprirlo leggermente... E poi ovviamente funziona bene come driver... Però mi sembra di capire che tu prediligi boostare il muff in ingresso...in caso in qualsiasi posizione dopo il Comp...

Nice Tony! As always :-) it sounds very good. I have an original from Macaris and I think the Formula B sounds quite close. The original does not have a master volume. IMHO It is not usable without a 10KOhm master volume after it (at least if your hearing means something to you :-)). It is also powered by two virtual batteries which is a bit of a pain. This one seems to get the job done in a very convenient package. Nice pedal! I have been looking for a try fi colourdriver but they are next to impossible to find in Europe. Nice to know that there is an Italian alternative that sounds great!
@gilmouring3 жыл бұрын
Ahaha totally agree...if you care about your hearing and maybe other organs too! You know...neighbours could resent you for the noise 😂😂😂 Yeah the Tru-Fi was actually on my list, but as you say they're not popular around here... Maybe after the pandemic! Definitely I'd like to try their Ram's head!
@gertjeeeh3 жыл бұрын
Any Idea how this compares to the Buffalo power booster and the Throbak PB?
@gilmouring3 жыл бұрын
@@gertjeeeh very similar to the Buffalo FX, with a slight difference on the gain knob...the most gain seems to be more towards the end in the Over Boost, more like the original... I haven't tried the Throbak, but I watched many demos over time and all these three are very close together!
@franknguitars76713 жыл бұрын
@@gertjeeeh yes - i have one of those too. The Buffalo is good but it doesn‘t have the raw power or headroom of the original. I haven‘t played the Formula B myself but from Tonys video I would say that it sounds closer to the original than the Buffalo (which is now defunct)
@gertjeeeh3 жыл бұрын
Ah okay! I got a Buffalo PB as well. I was wondering how it would stack up to those other two. I find the Buffalo a little too soft/smooth. Not that it's a bad thing, but on higher gain settings it becomes a little soft. If you know what I mean. You guys agree?

Hey tony. Have you tried the Flex Boost by Mooer and have you compared it to the Overboost pedal?
@gilmouring Жыл бұрын
Hi! The Flex Boost is a clone of the Xotic AC Boost. 2 different pedals. The overboost is more like a fuzz. Way more transparent at lower settings and with more headroom, especially if like this one there's an internal voltage pump that makes the pedal run at 18v. I think there isn't really anything like a Power Boost in the same price range. Otherwise I would have definitely tried! Cheers

Tony, why the SSL-5 in the neck position? Looking for a fatter tone?
@gilmouring3 жыл бұрын
Damn!! ahaha my mistake, it's actually the bridge pickup! I have a Fat 50 as neck pickup...This strat is configured exactly like the Custom Shop! I'll pin comment to highlight the error!
