What kind of rule is you can't protest but when everything is said and done you can appeal. Cool so basically they don't care if the drivers feel cheated or want to challenge a call.. its their way or the highway. An appeal won't do crap. Yeah ok it might give you points for the win for that race. But doesn't account for the butterfly effect If their protest wins. Because that person could go and beat the person that won the event in top 16 and then win the event. And all those people wouldn't place where they did...

@@snickers882 Yes, that's true, but none of the battles you think would have benefitted from a protest had any elements in them that could be protested. A team can always submit one, but there are very few that actually meet the bar of what a protest covered, which is not a judges interpretation. That has never been protestable.

Its amazing...every round FD USA gets complaints abt the judging and formats, you dont see that as often in other series. Drivers not being able to protest? After a run against a guy who couldn't even chase? Also nothing broke on Rome's rear left, the contact with Higa wasnt that hard and Rome suddenly accelerated/snapped into the gravel but the judges cant notice that? 😂 Can they even drift?

The judging side of this sport changes it from a professional competition to a personality contest. This needs to change. A professional sport should not be based on the opinion of 3 people. I've always had a problem with the fact that's it's 3 judges deciding the outcome. You can never get past confirmation bias if this doesn't change. I don't think I'll be watching the rest of the season due to the unprofessionalisum of some. 2 senarios of the exact same incident with 2 different outcomes. If this was F1, the up roar would be incredibly hard to get passed without a fix. Great job clowns

100% correct, the fact that you can bet on this sport and lose money because of a biased opinion and outcome. There needs to be an investigation into the judges and have a non bias regulator step in and take control. Judges should not be spending time with competitors outside of competition or in the off-season. Unfortunately, I think this will all fall on deff ears, and nothing will change. Could you imagine if the referees from the NFL were hanging out with QBs because they were friends then refereeing their games? That would be insane and yet this is what's happening here.

I feel like it was a bad call. Witch also makes me wonder if they sided with Matt because its more the fact he's chasing points and Adam is only chasing the round win. Matt is a safer call and siding with Adam would have been the right call for the round but not for the competition as a hole points wise. Adam clearly won and they just seem to be chasing their tale at this point

Get out of that mindset. No judgments are made for anything other than, this is what each judge thinks occurred. We need to rid that sickness of this sport and not bring in main stream conspiratorial thinking to drifting. The result for Field and LZ is reasonable for all three results: LZ, MF or OMT, depending on how you judge certain acts. The biggest problem in LZ not winning clearly is he stopped intentionally after he was hit. And it looked like he did. And then he admitted he did. This is a straight up conflict with what was asked in the drivers meeting if you are hit. "If hit, please continue to drive if you can so we can see the effect of the contact" He did not do that. So if he stops intentionally, it's an incomplete. Field's chase was horrible. It's either super super low score or In complete. The other set of runs could be judged even potentially. If Adam's is a lead Incomplete, then Matt has two scored runs. If Matt has a chase incomplete and LZ has a lead in complete on the same lap, then it is OMT. Both of those results came up on the board. BUT BUT BUT, if the judges felt they could infer that the contact caused him to spin or shutdown, everyone would be ok with that too. So all three results are reasonable. It's got nothing to do with points or favorites. If you'd like, I can show you LZ complimenting the new judging panel and when they were announced because he knows them prior to the event, so an existing relationship is there and yet a judge has to go with what he thinks is right, not what might be popular. And our job is to know the rules in and out and understand that fair-minded people can disagree.
