When Federico closed the way to the Mustang (1:28:10), the Ford bumped agaist the left front suspension of the Ferrari. In the next run that was why the Ferrari crashed agaist the wall and took fire. If you look closely (1:37:10) you can see the suspension breaking down and made Federico have the accident. He paid an high price for his mistake.

you're right, his car is wobbling as he slams the brakes after failing to initiate. i wonder if he checked over his car after the hit, if he was allowed to?

denova allowed to fix his car. there's no reason for federico to not allowed to check his car, right? CMIIW
@alessandrorona62056 жыл бұрын
I believe that they just thought that the car was fine, probably because the suspension after the bump was still working. Anyway I don't think that they could be able to replace an entire suspension in time for the second run.
@Captain_Coleslaw6 жыл бұрын
Unlike all the other cars in the comps, the ferrari has a homemade angle kit, and you even saw it almost lock the front wheels sideways when he tried to do the burnout at the start, so he had to abort, probably also why he had soo much grip for the enitiation, hence why he rocketed into the Mustang. I really wouldnt call it his fault, its shere bad luck, and i hope he can get the car working again, hopefully the fire only damaged the lines and body panels :/

Myth, the 599 as you could see had a suspension failure as a result of the crash earlier. It ended up screwing fuel lines. Can happen to any car. But no car has the crazy factor as this 599, it will turn heads like noone else and the engine sound...no one comes close.

Not really, its every drivers game plan to fuck over each other in the entry, Federico just wanted to get close and initiated too late. In the end he had a simple part failure and that car will be fixed up soon.
@ezassegai47936 жыл бұрын
Lauri Tuur I dont believe they do it on purpose. This track is tough and the initiation is very tricky.
@laurituur94566 жыл бұрын
True true, but its still a competition and they take lines that other cars cant follow good. For example, look at the run between odi and burkett. Odi was holding it way back and then Burkett didn´t get a good run. Then he had to put down a crazy run to have a slight chance to win and well, that ended in the wall. Mindfucking each other and pressuring is def a thing.

im a old D1 GP fan, is it just me or is this messy as hell in comparison, the drifting, the commentary, the point scoring, it all seems iffy to me. just one clipping point? no clear score after the first run in doubles?
@4DSCdude6 жыл бұрын
there were two clipping points and 2 outer zone..i think. but maybe what you're getting at is this is the first event of the year and stuff wasn't going extremely smooth. you are right about that. and they don't normally show or talk about scores on the tandem runs, they just choose a winner and talk about why. i think you should give the next round a shot and see what you think. it's FD ORLANDO on 4/27 4/28.
@rud3y16 жыл бұрын
deff will check it out dude thx, yeah it was rough round the edges -but still cool af and some awesome sideways action. as you said it is the first round of a new season, looking forward to the next one. great vid
@dylanw41136 жыл бұрын
YES they talk about the lead drivers wanting to score 100 but don’t tell us scores after the run??? Like what lol
@4DSCdude6 жыл бұрын
they only refer to points during qualifying. during tandem battles it's judgement calls. the judges may or may not actually keep score during competition but they do not use numbers to the public. when they refer to a LEAD driver running a 100 point run they just mean it should be perfect. but above all the chase driver is responsible for mirroring the lead driver and allowing the lead driver to take his line. that's why the Wang vs Forsberg thing was such a huge issue a couple years ago. Wang ran his line he ran all day and forsberg powered into the side of him and they gave the win to forsberg... people thought wang should have won because the chase driver is supposed to follow the lead, not necessarily run a perfect run, but run a perfect mirrored chase run.

As for the contact between the 599 and the Stang. The stang did a 3 wheel "hop" and angled RIGHT into the 599, so even if he was out of place, the 599 was just trying to stick close, he really couldnt have called the contact i wouldnt say :/
@4DSCdude6 жыл бұрын
unfortunately in FD rules you must allow the lead driver to take the line he wants and you must copy it. so if you are the chase driver, it's not about taking the perfect line, it's about matching the lead driver. but...chelsea(mustang) did do a 2nd e brake pull that fede probably was not prepared for and couldn't help hitting him
@plebtile33476 жыл бұрын
How is Faruk still in FD? Well... At least he has friends that can barely complete a tandem run now at least...

funny how they say "forrest has adapted" to FD, when it's the other way around. FD has to adapt to forrest when they realize his style is what fans want
@plottwist17336 жыл бұрын
I don't know man. I was going to say that you see a wider variety of cars drifting in Japan, but then I remembered that in Japan, it's Silvia's and 180SX's everywhere. In the US, it's 1000hp LS swapped GT86's everywhere. In Europe, it's BMW 3-series' everywhere. One thing I will say though is that I remember watching D1GP back in the day and you had 160hp AE86's going up against 650hp JZX100's and sometimes the AE86's came out on top because they had skilled drivers in them. They had to clutch kick like crazy and rev the absolute nads off the engines, unlike being able to just lightly brush the throttle with their little toes and get sideways like these guys in their 1000hp V8-powered cars can. Also, not gonna lie, those tacky liveries that D1 cars had on them back in the day are a guilty pleasure of mine.
@dalton-at-work6 жыл бұрын
d1gp liveries are classics, not tacky at all. from a graphic design standpoint they are well balanced, convey speed aggression, and counter-culture appeal
