Definitely mount the dampers so that the body is connected to the chassis. Less unsprung mass that way

Been working on FF's for years (mainly Mygales). Looks like the RF96 doesn't have the cross bar on the front arms to prevent cockpit intrusion. Otherwise, I'd have assembled the whole corner without bolting it up, just lower arm and pushrod, then body work and bolt it all up to finish

It possible, this car has always been dual shock from since we owned it. It could have been modified by the original owner?

I would have assembled all of the joints with grease to reduce wear and to inhibit corrosion.

Thanks for watching and great suggestion! we have found in the past that the grease holds onto dirt, brake dust and debris possibly causing more wear but we absolutely agree about the corrosion protection.
