I don't know where you're getting your information from, but it's incorrect. Now that Aston has a premier facility and wind tunnel, Honda coming on board, Adrian and other key influential staff members, they want Max. Supposedly, they'd pay up to...are you ready for this? One billion dollars altogether for his services! The plan is to let Fernando finish out his contract and replace him with Max. The 26' RB powertrain doesn't look that encouraging, at least to start with. Mercedes has Kimi (and less resources and personal than Aston). Ferrari and McLaren have their drivers locked in, so Aston is the only real alternative.

Perhaps Newey may have told Lawrence if you want me to work for you, Lance needs to go ASAP & told Lawrence this must legally be binding in his contract or no deal. There is no way that a man of Newey’s intelligence, competitiveness & genius, & at his age would join any team without a very high percent of the team winning, (with him in it & having a lot of say) especially after all these decades winning in F1 & at his age. They have Fernando & im sure this is one of the reasons Newey was attracted to this team bc Fernando is a driving genius with 2 F1 world titles & many victories in other racing series. Laurence can tell Newey to fire Lance so daddy doesn’t look guilty. Let’s see what happens.

Quite frankly I have never quite believed the broken wrist/toe "terrible pain" story. From the many videos I've watched of journalist drivers being given a chance to drive a detuned Formula 1 car the forces transmitted to the driver through the steering wheel are so great that driving even one lap with a partially healed broken wrist would be almost impossible. And anyone capable of sustaining that sort of intense pain for many laps would be very unlikely to pat themselves on the back with the repeated referrals of " terrible pain." Could this have been an attempt to stimulate sympathy for a increasingly unpopular driver?

The funniest thing will happen in 2026, Lance will NOT race for Aston Martin who will bring in Sainz. But his daddy will secure the free seat at Williams, basically a swap. Aston Martin will finish behind Williams in the Constructors in 2026 with Lance adding virtually nothing to the points tally of Williams. Ferrari wins both championship with Leclerc. Best season of the decade.

Stroll isn't a bad driver, he's really a somewhat competent driver, he can drive the car, finish races, and crash wise....... well he doesn't crash as much as other the actual bad drivers. His replacement is something that I really something that I hope happens, he lacks the talent to be a challenger even when he's in a championship winning car IMHO. Either demote him to test driver or get him into another race series
