Formulating a Theology of Asian American Youth Ministry Webinar

Embracing the gospel by being gospel-centered in youth ministry is foundational. One way we cultivate that is having theological depth in ministry, where a gospel centered theology drives our practices. For the complex world of teenagers, and ministering to them, this gospel centered foundation, grounded in theological depth, is even more vital, as we minster to them from this solid foundation, while contextualizing to their unique contexts as teenagers. However, while all teenagers present a unique context for ministry, the addition of the Asian American context adds a unique and complex dimension to ministering to teenagers.
Following up on the 2023 Rooted pre-conference for Asian American youth workers and theme of “Formulating a Theology of Asian American Youth Ministry,” this webinar will gather four youth ministry practitioners, along with our host Clark Fobes, to discuss the practical question of how do we need to and how can we start developing a theology for Asian American youth ministry. It will consider what questions do we need to answer to form a theology for Asian American youth ministry. These questions include such topics as immigration, foreignness, histories, biculturalism, liminality, etc. Join on on Thursday, Feb. 15th at 1pm for this webinar.
At Rooted, we have a heart for children to develop faith in Jesus Christ that lasts.
