Formulation Aloe Vera Cleansing Lotion Part 1 of 2

Face cleanser that softens skin and removes makeup. Does not foam. it's mild and suitable for the sensitive skin. Aloe vera is moisturizing and calming.
Phase A Weight % For 200 g /7.14 oz
Distilled Water (diluent) 72.8 % = 145.6 g / 5.2 oz
Xanthan Gum (thickener) 0.2 % = 0.4 g / 0.01 g
1,3 Propanediol (humectant) 2.0 % = 4.0 g / 0.14 oz
Triethanolamine (TEA) (neutralizer) 0.5% = 1.0g / 0.04oz
Phase B
Stearic Acid (emulsifier) 6.0 % = 12.0 g / 0.4 oz
PEG-150 Distearate (thickener) 1.5 % = 3.0 g / 0.11 g
Isoeicosane (emollient) 10.0 % = 20.0 g / 0.71 oz
Squalane Light (emollient) 4.0 % = 8.0 g / 0.14 oz
Phase C
Aloe Vera 10x concentrate (moisturizer) 2.0 % = 4.0 g / 0.14 oz
Gluconolactone SB (mild preservative blend) 0.8% = 1.6g / 0.06 oz
Fragrance (Coconut) (optional) 0.2 % = 0.4 g / 0.014 oz / 8 drops
Method:
Add phase A into a disinfected, heat-resistant glass beaker.
Mix well with a stick blender until xanthan gum is dissolved.
Combine phase B ingredients in another heat resistant glass beaker and heat to 150°F/65°C.
Heat phase A to the same temperature.
Combine phase A with phase B and blend well, using a stick blender. Remove from the heat source.
Cool to 100°F/40°C and add phase C ingredients, one by one blending well between ingredients.
Additional Option: Add 1-2 Tbsp of Jojoba Beads, Polylactic acid beads, or Rice Bran beads to the cleanser for a mild manual peel.
