Honestly, Fokoruru is one of a few Frontier monsters that I believe has a legitimate chance to be a part of the mainline series

I disagree. Forokururu is endemic of the Flower Field map, which means that, without it, he can't exist, and vice-versa. They would have to to implement the entire map, or at least an area with the exact same features, just to accommodate this bird wyvern.

A lot of Frontier maps suffer from the Flower Field syndrome, in which they make an entire map to accommodate the new flagship and it's gimmicks, just to stop there and not introduce any new monster exclusive to that location. The Highlands have five endemic monsters that work with it's weather mechanic (Gurenzeburu, Kuarusepusu, Hyujikiki, Toridcless and Poborubarumu), so it escapes this problem

Those ‘bird cry’ effects layered under the instrumental in the intro are insanely cool. Are those distorted flutes, or samples from the game?

Glad you think so! It’s a variety of woodwinds playing wildly to create that effect. In Symphobia, it’s labeled as « bird sounds » in the woodwind section. So musicians were recorded playing these textures with their instruments. I selected a bunch and split them in stereo! Crazy what people can do with a punctured tube haha

This is an absolutely gorgeous theme, I've always loved Forokururu's theme and this just takes what I love about it and makes it better. It's also giving me Ori game vibes? Like this would go perfectly in one of the Ori games I feel like and that is honestly the highest praise I can give. This is an amazing piece.

I love the majestic feel this has! You've been doing a lot of your more brassy, chaotic, or scary music lately, and it's really nice to see some more melodic & majestic material like Legiana or Tobi's theme. Very well done!

Yeah, I really love the more melodic stuff! It brings out a part of Monster Hunter that people don't often lean into. I really like it when music and a design emphasize the beauty and excitement of being around a monster, rather than the fear.

who is the next alatreon or xeno'jiiva I hope it's one of these two especially alatreon since he's one of the ones I'm most looking forward to and if it's xeno'jiiva I wanted a theme that was more space like an alien and alatreon I think it's a little difficult for you to surpass the original since his theme in world and 3 is very good unless you make an epic theme that surpasses his a theme worthy of a black dragon I can't wait for the next one This time you didn't take long to post this theme, now all that's left is to wait, thanks for this magnificent theme, as Wesker would say, magnificent, don't you think?

You said you were going to jump over some monsters to do the alatreon, is that true?? If you can't do it after banbaro I don't like him but it's your channel and another one on alatreon are you going to do a more exciting song than vaal hazak and bloodbath diablos? like black dragon level??? Since for me these two were your best themes that you've ever done, that's a compliment and I hope that Alatreon's is strong horror and exciting, you won't disappoint us see you soon friend

What daw are you using and what library/vst are you using ?

I use Logic Pro X as my DAW and the sound libraries vary per project. In the Forokururu video it was a mix of Symphobia woodwinds and strings, Dark Era frame drum and viking flutes, Voices of Wind (Adey), Freya by Strezov Sampling, a few Kontakt and Logic’s stock orchestral instruments, Tina Guo solo cello and Taylor Davis solo violin (to layer some realism in the orchestra). I think I’ll end up making a video of my setup, since this question comes up frequently. It might be easier to have a visual as well.

The original motivation was Namielle's theme (I wasn't a big fan). Then came the idea of alternative scores to gameplay I could post to create a demo for my composition portfolio. I would like to compose for a major film or game someday... Planned on doing a variety of games, but the Monster Hunter community asked for more. My entire following basically took off because of these Monster Hunter alternative scores. So I do it for the portfolio, and because it's fun. I cater to this channel because it might grow into something that earns a bit of income... we'll see!

I use a DAW called Logic Pro X. Any DAW will allow you to record and mix MIDI and real instruments, so it’s really a question of preference and budget.
