Yes, always do cash at check in and then add the card either at embarkation or on the ship. Both will only do a $10 hold instead of the $200 that would be charged if you did it at check in.

thank you , this is great. Taking first cruise in January. I was wondering what are we allowed to bring on ship? I noticed your cases of soda ? Also, if you have any info on the types of liquors at the liquor stores on the ship? Thank you. Subscribing now!

Hi! We didn’t visit the liquor store on the ship. I’ll peak in there next time. For beverages, each person can bring 12 cans of soda/juice, each adult can bring one 750ml bottle of wine, no water can be brought on the ship. We recommend ordering a case of water to be delivered to your cabin via the Carnival HUB app prior to your cruise. Make sure to bring the sodas and bottle of wine with you on board-in your carry on, do not place it in your checked bag.

Hey... Just an FYI. You get the large bottle of water from any bar and not in staterooms. They will charge your sail and sign card for drinking the water in youth room $5.95 per bottle. If you are red you get a free bottle of water from any bar.

I am getting ready to go on the Magic with my son for Christmas this year. I have learned a lot from you and I thank you so much for going that extra mile. Is it worth it to spend 500 per person for the drinks when we will be off the ship drinking most days?

My wife and I are going on the Magic in November, so i have a question when yall went to the Bahamas did you have to pay for the beach? Because I see an excursion for the beach? In the pass cruises we have took you have to pay to go on the beach.

@@chrisross9421 the beach at Half Moon is free it’s walking distance from the ferry. Also at Half Moon Cay is included BBQ style lunch all free you only have to pay for extras like alcoholic beverages and beach equipment rentals.

You can. We never said that you couldn’t. In this scenario, my parents wanted to put a card on their reservation when they did online check in, but they didn’t because they didn’t want the higher hold on their account. So during online check in they selected “cash”. When we boarded, they were told that if you wait and put the card on the account there, during boarding, it doesn’t have the higher hold that’s required during online check in. So, since the higher hold wasn’t an issue anymore, my parents chose to link their card during boarding versus cash. But yes, you can totally put cash on your sign and sail when you board and never have to link your card.

Yuck what woman smokes cigars and what is the purpose to look cool? Those things stink and nobody wants to smell that crap just a nasty habit go get a cigarette instead atleast you can inhale the smoke and it doesn't smell as bad
