I believe the Rivian R1T, R1S, Lucid Air, Tesla Cybertruck, Aptera solar ev and a few other EVs all make the natural electric motor whine sound I’m talking about. The Porsche Taycan has some real motor sound and fake synthesized sound that plays through the speakers I think. There are only a few EVs right now that make the natural motor sound but hopefully there will be more evs in the future that do it too instead of a fake synthesized sound or total silence.

I can't speak for the others but I doubt the taycan has a natural ev sound. there special editions that give you a louder sound. and I know it's counter-part, the e-tron gt has a module that controls the ev sound. so it's not natural, there's speakers that produce the noise.

I think they used the real electric motor sound to create the old Taycan sound though and it has some real motor sound and some synthesized sound that plays through the speakers. I could be wrong. The charging circuitry is integrated onto the battery. Then the motor inverter(s) are integrated into the motor. Which is why it’s so compact, but also why repair costs for a blown inverter can be higher than other brands.

The legacy performance was fast. But it lacked top end power and handled like a dodge challenger. Tesla fixed both issues and gave it much better seats. Much more quiet. Feels much more like mini model s.

The model Y was the best selling car in Q1 2023; mostly because of EV mandates in the EU and massive EV tax benefits while ICE cars had huge markups and were mostly out of stock. Tesla was the most traded in brand by Q4 2023 and this is part of the total EV fallout this year with EV prices just tanking everywhere. The volume of cars sold is dismal and dealers don't want to take EV's as trades because they know they cannot resell them.

Since I bought my first car (not my first , first car) in 2019 with this God-blessed feature, I wouldn’t dry or buy any car without this cool/heat features. Okay, this actually seems like it’s worth the price. Throw in a TSK cyber3 body kit and you beat the M3 in looks as well, AND still come in over $10G’s under the M3.
