I like the Bullet Bracelet on the SMP 300 & the President it’s got that classic, vintage look with the modern time piece. The only thing I don’t like about the OEM SMP300 Bracelet is that it does not taper!! I love the Omega Clasp with its quick adjustability, I use it at least 2-3 times a day. I wear a watch when I sleep & I like how I can adjust it accordingly so that it doesn’t strangle my wrist when I’m sleeping..

Yes that is true a different style of strap/bracelet can give it a different look and make it look new again

@tarasmathers74232 жыл бұрын
Well done my man, and thank you for sharing this. A strap, or bracelet change, (especially to a bracelet guy) really can make all the difference. To me, it can almost be the same as buying an entirely new piece, particularly if the prior version was preventing me from really enjoying the watch to its fullest. I gotta say, I think that they both pair well with the SMP300, but personally, I love the "Speedy" on it. Probably because I am just a big fan of that style of bracelet. Speaking of "bullet bracelets"......are you a fan of the Breitling, "Chronomat" bullet-bracelet??? Me personally.......I love them. A "Chronomat 42" is definitely on my list, for sure. Looking forward to more in 2023 my friend. Hang in there. Cheers.....

Im very happy with these bracelets. Between all three I think I have every possible base covered for what the SMP300 is capable of on the wrist. Not too familiar with Breitlings. Thats a brand I need to look into more. Always appreciate your insight bro

@@degenerateWA Hey out of curiosity....I know that the SMP 300 "OEM bracelet," doesn't taper, so I can imagine thats probably a factor at play, but do you find the bracelet to be sharp, or not articulate enough??? Just wondering, as it's a common complaint, but other than the lack of taper, no one really ever seems to specify
@degenerateWA2 жыл бұрын
@@tarasmathers7423 lack of taper is something i really like actually. I do not have slender wrists in the slightest so it is fitting for me. I like everything about it but it is an ounce or so too heavy. It is completely wearable, but if we're gonna be nitpicky then I'm going to be nitpicky
@tarasmathers74232 жыл бұрын
@@degenerateWA At that price, I feel one "should" be nitpicky. I agree with you about bracelets that do not taper. I don't mind it if they do or if they don't, but they do feel more fitting for a larger wrist usually. All the best.....

I have a couple forstner bracelets, and while I'm glad they exist, they are not OEM quality. This is to be expected for the price point. The machining and finishing on they edges is kind of rough, and the bullet uses fewer parts. On the OEM, the thin polished sections are actually separate links. Not saying Forstner isn't worth getting, but don't expect it to feel like a luxury product.

I have a couple of Forstner bracelets for my Speedmaster and I love them. I got a Seamaster 300 Diver and ordered the Model J ( Jubilee style). The first shipment was lost. I waited three weeks, was provided a tracking number for a new order, that didn’t work. I had to wait for the next shipment of bracelets and was told two weeks. Then two more weeks, then next month, then by the end of that month. Finally, after 121 days since my initial order, my Model J arrived, with the wrong end links. Doesn’t that just suck for me. My experience with Forstner has not been good.

Can’t decide between O and Bullet. I feel like the Bullet is what would have been the tapered OEM that omega never produced. It feels like if they ever taper it it would look like this. Just not sure if its too “shaky” for a watch that size. O seems more solid but not sure. Man this video didn’t help with choosing :D love the OEM just the tapering sucks, like you said sometimes OEM feels so nice but after few weeks it isn’t special because of its flaws it has..

Great review dude - Liking the outside shots! The bullet looks great - Been looking to improve some of my own collection rather than buy new pieces and swapping bracelets / small mods are the way to go! Any idea how the Forstner bracelets compare to Uncle Seiko? The US1479 is the same as the bullet but not sure who to go with for my white dialled SM300. There's not much in price difference with US when spec'ing his better clasp. I've only ever purchased strapcode previously which are great quality (Hexad and Oyster) for MM300 and Kamasu and one US for my BB Pro which is decent for the price. Stuck when it comes to pulling the trigger hmmm....

sorry man I completely missed this comment (i miss one day of responding to comments and it gets impossible to catch up lol). here is my video directly comparing a Forstner and Uncle Seiko Jubilee bracelet: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHXFnnqDpZupoMU It's hard to say definitively who makes a "better quality" bracelet. Honestly they both do the job and they both have different styles to cater to different people. I think Forstner makes a better clasp (their clasps are so nice), but I've also only ever experienced one Uncle Seiko. I do think Forstner also finishes their links just a tad better.

Hi mate, I'm looking currently for some bracelets at Forstner too. It would be great if you could share info as below for my references. 1) Which model of SMP 300 you are currently wearing (reference number & year) Mine is SMP 300 210.32.42.20.06.001, Year 2022 2) When you place order in Forstner, you ordered the Pre-2018 or Post 2018? Because i'm looking at the Jubilee bracelet and there's a bit confusion on the compatibility. Customer service representative from Forstner send me this "I've checked our history and I don't find any reports of our bracelets fitting this watch. Perhaps, they've not been tested with this watch yet. The lug width looks fine, just not sure about lug hole placement. The case looks the same as other Chronometers. I think our pre-2018 Seamaster would be compatible and you can try that." So I would like to do more research before place an order. thanks
