Yeah, it's great! And, we hit it twice this year. On the way up and later you'll see it on the way down.

@@Funonholiday Fantastic.... the french islands are so easy to clear into. How far are you going up ?

We made it to Guadeloupe this season. In real time, we are currently in St Lucia.

@@Funonholiday Very nice , did you anchor in the bay that they film Death In Paradise in when you were in Guadeloupe? I think its Deshaies . We love that show !
@Funonholiday2 жыл бұрын
We love Death in Paradise as well! And we do want to go to Deshaies to see the filming areas. This year we only made it to Ilse de Saintes and the south coast Point au Pitre to St Francois. Then, it ended up being time to turn around. Next season we plan to spend a lot of time on the west coast of Basse Terre and also go up to Antigua.

That was a bit of bad luck with your camera. I killed a contour two camera and a phone when I capsized a gaff rigged clinker dinghy. Ahhh the joys of sailing 🏴☠️🍺

It sure was. When we eventually did get a new GoPro, we also got a dive case. I've since read that their waterproof isn't totally reliable.

Why don't you use the davits ?
@Funonholiday2 жыл бұрын
Previous owner installed them, and they aren't great. Need more support/backing plates. Can see the stern flex an alarming amount when we lift with them. We've tried using halyards to support but not with the success that would make them useful for passages. Really, need another design, stronger stern rail, and large backing plates I think for any serious usage.
