I feel like out of all the videos I have watched; yours is the most accurate, straight forward and honest. My son is in BCT now, blue phase. I also love that you’re humble. My son said he was eating an orange and his DS ripped it out of his hands, threw it across the room and said “F your orange” he admitted he shouldn’t have been eating that orange.😂😂

Couldn’t get in in 2020 due to the waivers I needed recruiter called me a couple weeks ago asking me if I was still interested I went over my stuff with him and he says I can get the waivers now cause they need people so bad so I dropped my crappy diet and started insanity again to lose the weight again. Got to lose about 50lbs should be ready by the end of the year

There was a guy in my unit who was 38 and I shipped out when I was 30. Stay motivated you got this , keep it up and great vid! I’m a cav scout and your bay is way more nicer than ours.

Thank for the video hopefully it helps future soldiers...... From a VET point of view the Army is the Army .......The more things change the more some stay the same ......The Experience will be different for everyone .....but the basics are the basics ...... every Drill SGT will be different just don't take it personal.....stay focus....!!!

My son is enroute to Ft. Jackson now for BCT today. I'm glad I came across this video. Everything I've seen has been a produced video by a professional so I know it was toned down. This was real informative for me so I can kind of know what he will be doing with each phase.

Thank you for this video. My son is at Ft. Moore, GA (formerly Ft. Benning) having just finished pre-basic and will be shipped to Ft. Jackson for Basic, probably this week. His MOS is 14U. He’s 25 yrs. old and graduated college in Dec.’23. Possibly will go Airborne. Your video helps give a little insight into what’s to come for him. Thank you

I went through Basic at Jackson during the summer of 1987. Everything was exactly as I thought it would be. I have to say the training regimen was quite organized back then. The entire base was really squared away. I visited Jackson a few years ago, and there was tall grass and weeds everywhere. There was trash on the sides of some of the roads. I hope it is more squared away now. I was in the 2nd of the 28th Infantry Regiment when it was at Jackson.

I graduated basic training summer of 86, ft Disneyland. My Drill Instructors were Vietnam Veterans and it was some of the hardest most rewarding training in my life. The Army sounds so different today. I kinda wish I was in now for the experience.

Basic is nothing like when I went through in 1986 on Tank Hill with still the old wood style barracks, not the brick barrack that everyone is in now. No footlockers in barracks, you gotta easy. Basic training is just mind games and to make you fit.

I did basic on Tank Hill in 1983. Didn't know if anyone would even know what Tank Hill was. Nice to hear those words again.

I was at Tank Hill in 1985. They were the worst barracks on the base. I loved it.

I ship this monday to fort sill i'm 30 with wife and kid live in texas so i'm very use to working outside in 105+ weather for 12 hours a day 90 degrees feels great lol i'm excited to go but also getting a little nervous closer i get been doing tons of PT before I ship to try to get a headstart 94M AIT is 37 weeks

I’m visiting MEPS for my physical next week. I selected 27D which is paralegal. Though I’m signing up with a reserve unit I’m very curious how the vibe of basic is these days. I’m 25 and going through to get a resume boost before I apply to law school next year.

I’m 31 went to ft Jackson back in 2012 got an epts discharge, I recently decided to try and re enlist, waiting on a waiver that we’ve been working on for over 5 months, got it sent up to command after many kickbacks then finally went up but got sent back for one thing, “employer reference request” so sending that up this week hopefully everything goes good and finally get an answer and finally sign my contract

@@AaronBarlow22 thanks man, hopefully we get a response this week, I sent up my employer reference yesterday, so if everything goes good I could be signing my contract by next week, I already took my asvab and passed MEPS, I actually did all that like 4 months ago.

@@AaronBarlow22 I hope so man, the recruiter said once it and if it gets passed we need to send a reenlistment waiver request to MEPS and that would be the final one and I messaged him this week and he said that MEPS had requested one thing from the recruiters for a waiver, but he didn’t specify which one I’m assuming it’s for the reenlistment one since the moral waiver wasn’t for MEPS, this whole process has been very frustrating. So God willing this week. I get some positive news and can finally sign my contract.

No worries! And not much different. The female DS handle the females more than the males obviously but it’s about the same toughness for everyone. Ruck marches are harder for the females naturally carrying more weight. But I’m sure she will get through just fine! It’ll be over before you know it! ❣️ good luck to her what MOS is she?
